This 5-ji kara 9-ji made looks like a lot of fun just from the synopsis. I doubt there's an english or french translation for it otherwise I would have read it (I don't read manga a lot these days though).

Was there anything special with this volume? It's been consistently selling 14-16k for like a month now, you'd think it was under the effect of an anime boost or something.

It's the start of a new arc and went back to the main objective of getting to the basement. Many fans wanted the politic arc to end. Also not sure if the PS4 game releasing had any effect on this and also the reairing of season 1 that's been going on.

Wasn't aware of Index and Railgun being a spinoff doesn't really count since that is the original format. Either way it's still not the norm in Japan from what I've seen hence surprise.

I think it had decent chapters in it (all the political crap ended and it actually got interesting again) which could explain it. Other than that nothing i can think of.

Need to start reading 5-ji kara 9-ji made at some point. Sad to see Arachnid end but decent sales for the final volume. Still surprises me that the Shinmai manga outsells the manga in Japan. Taking into account the LE sales and it's probably already surpassed the last volume. Happy anyway, fab series.

Yeah. Apparently, there's a 10th anniversary special edition thingy going on or something, and it's given the series a bit of a boost. I think the boost will die down after this week, though

Thanks for reminding me that there is no more active fan translation for OreMono. :/ I just had to buy one series. With that and Fire Emblem coming out, my wallet is practically empty.
