Manga 'Magi: Sinbad no Bouken' Gets TV Anime Adaptation for Spring 2016

A TV anime adaptation of manga Magi: Sinbad no Bouken has officially been announced via its official website. The announcement was made after today's special airing of Magi. According to the announcement, the staff and cast from the OVA will be reprising their original roles for the TV series. It will broadcast in Spring 2016 and premiere on MBS' "Animeism" block.

The series, which is a prequel to Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, is written by Shinobu Ohtaka and illustrated by Yoshifumi Ohtera. The manga was adapted into a 5-episode OVA produced by Lay-duce between 2014 and 2015, with each episode being bundled with various volumes of the manga.

My expectations were met seeing those OVA's its bound to have an adaptation to cover the whole story of Sinbad.Hype though seems to be less for me I would have preferred if they made this before kingdom of magic or just release season 3 of magi but hey its better than nothing, I look forward to this!

lul that was unexpected. I thought this won't happen any time soon. i just hope it's not the same thing we seen in OVAs. anyways, yey to more magi
