Manga 'Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic' to Enter Its Final Arc
Magi is written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka and has been serialized in Shounen Sunday since June 2009. The manga received a prequel, covering Sinbad's early life, which was adapted into five OVA episodes. The main series itself has received two TV anime adaptations by A-1 Pictures. The first, titled Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, aired in 2012, and the second, titled Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, aired in 2013. Both adaptations ran for 25 episodes.
The series won the shounen category for the 59th Shougakukan Manga Awards in 2013.

Good. I don't want this to turn into Fairy Tail or Bleach.
Would love a Madhouse reboot with about 100 or so episodes. But a season 3 is also fine.
nahh...bones would do this anime justice. they are great with the supernatural genre as seen with fullmetal alchemist, noragami, kekkai sensen, darker than black, etc.

I kinda sorta got into it, I watched the first season for sure, and I think I might've seen the second season, but I can't remember. I never really got into the manga. It's okay though, interesting premise, but the whole shonen cliche of "falling into depravity" is a real turn off for me, the most annoying cliche in all of shonen, and it's at the forefront of this series which makes it very tough to follow at times, though some of it's really cool.
Dud... Magi is a way of life...

The manga though, pretty decent, colorful cast of characters, no a bad shonen action setup and premise really though I've only read about 100 chapters myself which in the realm of Shonen action manga is practically nothing.
Gotta start collecting the volumes, a bit shocked, but hope this last arc is long and doesn't end up at chapter 300 or something. Inb4 people who're talking about Madhouse and how they should make Magi... yeah.. no it's made by A-1 I don't think they'll give the rights that easy.
If it was still produced by Aniplex it'd be like a lateral move from A-1 honestly. Now that it's ending and the potential for making money is significantly lessened I would not expect a 3rd season since it can't be used to bolster the manga's circulation much anymore and it does not sell discs and thus there's just no benefit to another anime. Anime doesn't get made much anymore these days unless somebody thinks it's a worthwhile commercial for some other format of the same content or if it can sell discs.
