Iliya scene was one o f the scenes tht were faithfully adapted....
However they destroyed about pretty much everything else, including the "King of Heroes Do you have enough swords?" line and scene...
It's okay. As long as they got my favorite scene, I don't care about Gilgamesh vs Shirou... Anyway I always thought Archer vs Shirou was more epic.

How badly did they destroy the Ilya scene? I bet it received no justice... :(

I've gotten really hyped for this movie now, even though 90 minutes is waaay to short for UBW. But... UBW is one of my all-time favorite VN-scenarios, let's just hope they don't screw it up to badly.
Oh, and the animation seems nice, judging from the trailer.
yep,ubw was amazing :3
cheering for them not screw it up xD

As long as I can see moar Saber then this is a must watch for me.
You will either be really happy with this movie or REALLY disappointed :3
Its probably been said on this thread somewhere but I'd rather not look for it.
What is this anyway? Is it the series wrapped up in a movie, a retelling or something else?
Fate/stay night has three different routes and those routes all exist at the same time as a part of huge multiverse, known as nasuverse.
The fate route covers the saber storyline and represents the events of what happens IF Shiro uphold his moral justice ideals through and through. The main love interest in this route is Saber. We saw this route in anime(although it was REALLY butchered by producers)
The "Unlimited Blade Works" covers the stories of Shiro, Rin and Archer and represents the events of what would happen if Shiro balanced his sense of justice with the reality. The main love interest in this route is Rin. We will see this route in this movie.
The "Heavens Feel" Storyline covers stories of Shiro, Sakura and Rin and represents the events of what would happen if Shiro threw away his ideals and took a "mature view" towards the world. The main love interest in this route is Sakura.
There's also "fourth universe", which...well....will be explained in UBW.
In a sense its totally different series of events all caused by different decisions of Shiro resulting in different outcomes and different situations.
