Manga 'Arakawa Under the Bridge' to End

A scan of Young Gangan's upcoming issue, available June 5, has revealed that the comedy manga Arakawa Under the Bridge will end in the magazine's next issue, to be released July 3.

Hikaru Nakamura's manga began serialization in seinen magazine Young Gangan in 2004. Fourteen volumes of the manga have been published by Square Enix as of May 2014.

Arakawa Under the Bridge previously received two TV anime adaptations in 2010: the first season aired in Spring and its sequel aired in Fall, both completing with 13 episodes. The manga also received a TV drama series adaptation in 2011 and a live-action film adaptation in 2012.

C'mon, we know Shaft would animate dog shit if they could turn a dollar profit on it.

Speaking of dog shit, they need a season 3 just to apologize for season 2.

Did not enjoy the anime when I tried it few years ago, the premise was appealing and the art looks good, but that was all.

I will give it another try someday, for old time's sake.

I've always wanted more Arakawa to be animated even though it's a pipe dream. :/
Will keep my eye out on the manga though.

Garbage anime, season 2 was unbearable and was a rare Drop from me. Glad it was a flop in sales and many others dislike it, and it's about time that it's manga source meets its demise.

I doubt a season 3 of Arakawa because of low sales and Shaft probably has better things to animate. I love Hoshi though.
