When is the series ever going to come out on DVD in US/Canada/places that aren't Japan?

Sentai Filmworks licensed it 14 months ago, or at least that's when they made the announcement. I know that still means it might be a while but I thought that series were being released a little earlier than they used to be, no more than a year or so? I guess I've no idea. I can't find anything on Amazon/Right Stuff for sale and there's almost no information on the website.

Those kind of people here still come into threads like that like it's no big deal?

Almost humorous how much negativity there is in this thread regarding the show. Almost.

Personally, I was quite fond of the TV show. I just thought the ending was a complete and utter asspull and certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.
The recap movie has the potential of adding more scenes in or even change scenes to make them stand out, especially since that ending was as bad as it was. Either that or the sequel movie will actually explain what the hell happened, though I suppose we must see about that. I do hope the recap does well like the Madoka Magica recap movies. The sequel is what I am mostly looking forward to. Wonder how that will turn out, story-wise.

...And still no Hyouka movie. (-_-;)

Seriously, KyoAni, *that's* the show that needs a movie-sequel...

There is no material for movie.
It's not their property.

All this rage. Stay classy, KyoAni.
A much better troll would be Free completely falling off KyoAni's priorities since it got its second season.

Better not suck.
Like the ending.
Yeah, not like that please

Why would this trash need a recap-movie? I tried watching and it's so terrible.

Oh this I need. I need another female oriented series from KyoAni.

Preferably a male idol anime. Please, KyoAni?

yes please

get some top notch seiyuu (like Free!'s cast without Yonaga Tsubasa or Ai's VA) and they could definitely pull off a UtaPri.

Since i'm apparently the only person on the planet that really enjoyed the original series, i'm really looking forward to the sequel movie. I'll probably end up watching the recap movie too, since by the time it's online i'll have forgotten some of what happened in the anime.

^ because of this.

That aside, Kyoani did surprisingly well with the Tamako movie so this KnK sequel might not be total shit (or at least not as bad as the tv series). We'll see.

More KyoAni quality animations are always welcome.

The next tamako love story? Uhm yeah, I have my doubts about this one. And recaps can seriously get stuffed. That said, when the synopsis comes around I might just change my mind. Was there a particular loose end that they left untouched?

Yes it was the part where this series turned good.

Kyokai no Kanata is a piece of shit.
