Manga and Anime Sequels of 'Tokyo Ghoul' Announced

The 46th issue of Young Jump, which will release on Thursday, will start serializing a Tokyo Ghoul sequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul: re. The anime's second season will also be officially announced in the same issue. It will be aired in Winter 2015. The second season will be "another Tokyo Ghoul story" written by the mangaka.

Information about a second anime season was leaked on a non-official Chinese streaming site when the first season just ended airing.

I am very happy relevant to this news. But tbh, I heard about some unsettling news that happened in the manga beforehand, which shakes me up, pretty much. I just hope that the event didn't actually happen or the random commenter guy was trolling or SOMETHING.

It's hard to feel positive after that first season. I'm pumped to see more white haired Kaneki animated but I fear for him.

I loved season 1, season 2 is probably going to be alot better now that the MC just got stronger. Can't wait to watch this.

well the anime will no doubt have him in it at least but wondering how in the hell there gonna recover from such a horrid first season.

Thank heavens. D: I finally finished the manga today and almost went into shock from how it ended. By the way I just realized that TG is a horror manga. I apparently don't like horror, but somehow I handled this? Oh well! TG is freaking amazing.

1. 3deep5u fans, some legitimate references especially to a Ghoul's conditions, disgusting comparisons
2. shonen lovers, lots of fights between ghouls
3. gore lovers, lots of violence, torturing
4. yaoi lovers - Tsuki something, Kaneki, a sausagefest cast with a splash of imouto and kuudere
