When did amazon stalker come into all of this? It hadn't even been mentioned in this thread up to that point.
This topic started with Rail Wars' sales figures, which are right there at the start of this thread.
Of course, Oricon isn't 100% reliable (or, rather, 100% complete) itself, but it's the closest we have and any discussion about sales would be meaningless without it.
They were right about Rail Wars' Sales.
Not really discussing that.
In what world is selling 1.2k to many sales?

implying amazon stalker is a credible, reliable source on how anime disc sales work outside of amazon.

Implying anyone in this thread has any more credibility than you do.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who could reference or point me to reliable, credible and useful sources of information that I either do not know of or have neglected to check.

If I posted something factually incorrect, I would want someone to correct me. I would expect that most people would feel the same way, even if they feel slightly embarrassed by the process.

This is what I'm talking about. You are shaming other mal posters.
People on MAL are allowed to be dumb or have uninformed opinions. This is MAL, not Wall Street.

KyoAni just HAS to make another female oriented series. This was so successful, more than it's more recent shows like Tamako Market, Chuuni2 (I've forgotten whether or not it was more successful than the first season) and KnK. I'm so down for another series like Free! Preferably with Utsumi directing again. And Yokotani on screenwriting again. Just preferences.
Yes, definitely. They simply MUST make more female oriented series. Free! was a huge blessing by itself but I believe it's only the beginning. Free! has opened doors which were never opened before. Yes, Free! was more successful than Chuunikoi. Yes, yes, with Utsumi directing it. And Yokotani, yes, yes.

There's a huge hole in my heart now that Free! is done, sigh...
That makes two of us. Now, KyoAni, hurry up and give me my cute boy idol anime! I've been asking for it for a year now. ;_; Wishing...wishing...

Oh ye, my bad. Same demographic so its just semantics anyway. Both are manga from magazines targeted at girls.
>Implying only girls like gay romance.
Also wanna see better ao haru ride sales.
I was wrong it it having the same demographic, but yaoi magazines are aimed at woman. I think you're misunderstanding what demographics are, somebody belonging to 1 demographic does not mean only people in that demographic can be a fan of the series.
Male gay romances aimed at guys are a different genre.

I think for an anime that has <7.0 score on MAL, > 1k sale is acceptable
Scores don't mean anything for ecchi series, all the gay people flock like flamingos to down vote them cause they hate sexy/cute girls and fun things, the women are just jealous because they're ugly and fat.
Are you that upset by this series not selling well/scoring well on MAL that you're insulting like two huge groups of people? Like really??? Lol.
S2's sales are not as good as S1's but I'm still really happy with Free!ES's sales! There's a huge hole in my heart now that Free! is done, sigh...
I really hope Barakamon and GSNK do well next week ;__;

Scores do mean something for ecchi anime, or any other genres as well. <7.0 is bad, and Rail War is only 6.5, dont make any reason other than the anime is suck itself. Some ecchi has high score after all
Anyway, the day people buy BD for ecchi is over, we will never see a 6.34 Queen Blade RnS (2009) got 10k sell

I am far from an elitist. Where did you get that from? I don't talk down on people who like things I don't like, like some people on MAL. Did you even read what I posted?
You seem to pop up whenever red posts here. Do you have some grudge against him? Or do you just hate statistics, which surely tell a better story than some stuff people pull out of thin air with no evidence at all.

You seem to pop up whenever red posts here. Do you have some grudge against him? Fact is, <2k sales is in most cases terrible, with some exceptions as I explained. The statistics prove this, I am not making statements out of thin air.

<2k is not enough to be complaining about Rail Wars sales.
Welcome to the MAL forums, you'll see people complain about <2k sellers selling to much almost every season.
Welcome to the MAL forums, you'll see people complain about <2k sellers selling to much almost every season.
This. <2k sales in most cases is pretty terrible, unless the anime has other forms of revenue such as the original source material, merchandise, etc. Some people just have to find something to complain about, doesn't matter what it is.
Please try harder to sound like elitist experts.
I don't think everyone else in the thread is alienated enough yet.
Mod edit:
Double posts merged.

That guy doesn't really seem to get anime sales. He said last week that he couldn't believe how much Jinsei was selling >>
