VA Ogata Megumi Recovers From Depression

Ogata Megumi confessed in her e-mail magazine that she had been in depression for one month. After she finished a live concert tour last March, she fell into a state of lethargy. She completely lost appetite, suffered from insomnia, and had no motivation to do anything other than crouching on the floor.

She recovered from the state of depression by reading a book on stress-handling. She realized she had accepted excessive amount of works to comply with others' expectations and gone against her own principle that "the quality of her performances" and "her own will to do the job" have the highest priority. She stopped taking on jobs aggressively and started to have more passiveness in her life.

I adore her. Of course, everyone knows Shinji-kun, but she's done many many other wonderful characters, too. Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon, Naoi-kun a.k.a. CHRIST in Angel Beats!, Yukito/Yue-sama in Cardcaptor Sakura, etc.

I think she also has a lovely voice, YouTube Sailor Uranus's image song, "Kaze ni Naritai." It's almost Takarazuka level for me. ;3

But seriously, that really sucks. I'm glad to hear she's doing better, I have such high respect and love for Aniki. >_< Depression is absolutely horrible, chronic (eg: clinical) or otherwise, it's really something that nobody should have to suffer from...

Oh, i feel sorry for her, but good thing that she came back to her feet. Lover her voice! Ganbatte, Ogata-san! There are many, many fans who support you! And i hope, she will do more anime work again. Miss her voice acting...^^

According to the official blog, suzumoku, the vocal of a band "pe'zmoku", has come back to work. He suddenly disappeared last March and the live concert was canceled. He had been missing for a few days and the members of the band found him distressed with a stress disorder.
