There has been a strong suspicions against a man who put up his collections of the autographs of popular Mangaka for Yahoo Auction. Yoshida Kenichi (the character designer of "Eureka Seven") confirmed that all the autographs claimed to be Yoshida's were fake. According to Rocket News, most of the items put by the man are likely to be shams.

A 2channel user found out that one of the fake autographs of Toriyama Akira was an imitation of an illustration drawn by Nakatsuru Katsuhiro, the character designer of Dragon Ball Z.

He sold the fake autographs of Tezuka Osamu, Oda Eiichiro, Araki Hirohiko, Sadamoto Yoshiyuki, Miyazaki Hayao etc. and earned about 10 million yen (approx. $100,000).

What bothers me the most, is that there are actually people who pay so much for an autograph on eBay... I wouldn't even think about it and assume that such a thing is fake in the first place...

I once saw and advertisement for a 'genie in a bottle' which should grant your wishes... yeah right! o_O
