The Final Episode of Shikabane Hime Kuro Is DVD Release Only

The episode 12 of "Shikabane Hime: Kuro" was aired on March 26th and the TV series was ended. According to Amazon Japan, the episode 13 (designated as episode 26 of Shikabane Hime series) will be released as a DVD only episode. It will be out on August 5th.

Ditto! I just came today to check and see if there is any new news.
I found a japanese amazon page with user reviews http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.jp%2Fdp%2FB001IAAPM4
But the Google Translated version is kind of hard to understand. The only comment I can fully grasp is this one,
"The 26th episode was a completely unrelated story."

Which is incredibly disappointing if true. I can't believe that Ouri & Makina didn't tell the other shikabane what happens after 108 kills.
Oh well, guess I'll save my money...

Its been over 5 months already..

I have almost forgotten about Shikabane Hime yet the final episode has only been released for a few days. I don't understand why people would make the final episode a few months after the end of the series ending as that many people would forget the story or that the hype of the series would die down..

It won't be. History shows it'll either be filler or underwhelming, but there's no way it will be "perfect".

You're exactly right. If it's not aired with the series, and only on the DVD, it is it's own seperate entry.

Other examples: Moon Phase, all three extra Baccano! episodes, Elfen Lied, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, Manabi Straight, Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino-, Honey and Clover, Otoboku, Wolf's Rain.
