New Anime Princess Lover! Announced

An adult PC game "Princess Lover!" was announced to get a TV anime adaptation. It will be aired this summer.

Director: Kanazawa Hiromichi (episode director of "Macross Frontier", "Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage")
Series Organizer: Nakamura Makoto ("Air (movie)")
Character Designer: Suzuki Shingo ("Genius Party", General Art Director of "Shugo Chara!")
Production Studio: GoHands (a branch of Satelight became independent)

Synopsis
Arima Teppei lost his parents in a traffic accident. His grandfather Isshin adopted him by force and ordered him to succeed the head of Arima Group Corporation. At Shuuhou Gakuen, a high school only for wealthly students, Teppei's new life as a celebrity starts.

You know, I kind of get the negativity accociated with this type of show, but this looks like it could actually be fun, and I normally don't go for stuff like this. It also helps that unlike most shows like this that get pumped out, it doesn't look cheap or low budget (which I guess is expected from a branch company of Satelight). As Kira01 said though, nice character desgins, and the staff seems good enough, so we'll see.

The loud noise... Apparently, if you don't refresh the page and right-click to play the trailer on the "coming soon" page, the loud train-wreck noise plays in the background on top of the song.

As for the anime itself, let me guess... It's an ecchi love comedy. The least to say, it's what the trailer is trying to give people an impression of. On the contrary, it could be something else. You can't really judge how an anime will turn out based on a list of staff members and a 30-sec trailer. The character designs are good. I wonder what the seiyuu lineup will be..

I'm going with stupid and these types of shows are plentiful anyway. A reverse harem would have been better.

i just hope the main male protagonist aint the usual stereotype gentle, indecive and always embarrassed wuss w/o balls who is played around by everyone all the time... im kinda sick of that... and i dont wanna see an orgy of nosebleeds either

From watching the trailer, I'm hoping for the best and it be something like Zero no Tsukaima. Only time will tell though so for now......we wait.

phew, the title sounded like some reverse harem that I would never watch. The art seems a bit weird for me for this type of show, especially considering I've gone through 51 episodes of it with Shugo Chara. Never the less, worth checking out since I generally like these types of shows.

hmm...the art is pretty much identical to shugo chara's after all. too bad it had to be wasted on something like this.
