Sponsors Abuse Anime Studios, Says New JFTC Report
News has been released last week from Japan's Fair Trade Commission. They released a report that detailed findings of potentially illegal contract manipulation imposed on the Japanese Anime Production Studios, by their own sponsors. As many as 114 anime production studios responded to inquires from the trade commission. Many admitted that companies that were commissioning the production of anime have insisted upon paying low
compensation, demanded production schedules that ignored reasonable holidays, and time off for animation studio employees.
