Wrong Line in One Outs Ep 4 Due to the Director's Poor Handwriting

At the end of "One Outs" episode 8 program aired on Nov 25th, the director Sato Yuuzou apologized for a wrong line in the episode 4. The sportscaster of the game said "One out with a man on third" but the correct line was "No out with a man on third". A triple play was occurred after the scene, so this line was contradicting. The reason for the mistake was that the director's handwriting on the continuity book was poorly written and the staff wrongly read "ノーアウト (No out)" as "1ーアウト (One Out)". See the screen shot 2
This mistake will be corrected in the DVD.

looks like a forward slash to me (so a combination of "1" and the japanese character)

I feel bad for the director.. Considering the tight schedule of one anime episode per week, there is no doubt that the staff and crew are tired from long working hours. A tiny handwriting mistake isn't much of a big deal. More over, he has also apologize already.

lol... his "no" looks like mine >.>
And there's even a - afterwords...
ノー
Thats definatly no... not onexD

It doesn't look like a one to me... but then again I mark the head and bottom line on my 1's so I don't confuse them with my lower case L's...

I do have to say that the rest of his handwriting does look pretty crappy though if its any compensation... but I think they're just full of excuses lolxD

For some reason, I think this is hilarious.

That girl in the last pictures looks like some sort of animal. O.o

I actually didn't notice the mistake when I watched the episode

OH YEAH, BLAME THE DIRECTOR'S TERRIBLE HANDWRITING, NOT THE STAFF'S INABILITY TO READ.

I know this is off-topic but can you tell me the mistakes the code geass staff made??

Do you know how to play CHESS? Cuz they don't.

It was honorable of them to apologize. First step to world peace xD
imo the handwriting was fine. It's definitely not a 1. oO

I don't even watch One Outs for the baseball so I don't care. I figure if the staff are producing an anime about baseball they should at least understand baseball enough to realise it was a mistake, oh well.

The show's crap anyway

Lol, NO.

I lol'd. 8D

...Now, where are the Yu-Gi-Oh GX staff to apologize for the ginormous math error in episode 140 that actually changed the outcome of the entire duel? Geez, if the writing staff could count properly, they could have saved us about ten episodes worth of angst and pointless death. XD

Who gives a damn? The show's crap anyway, and do not compete with Kaiji in any form. No wonder there was this kinda mistake there, I bet even our director doesn't like this series so much.

lol, that's not good for the director...

If the director was actually directing the seiyuu when it was recorded, surely he'd have caught it? I guess he was just storyboarding and not involved as the sound director or something.

wow, but looking at the screenshot, it sure looks like even I would have been confused whether it was 1 or ノ. :P

I can't hate people for having bad handwriting, I don't have the best handwriting myself. Kinda weird that it would make it to airing without anyone noticing though.

But wow, I'm amazed that this one got through. Sato Yuzo is the genius director behind Akagi and Kaiji, and apparently did Storyboards for Death Note and Claymore. Are they on such a tight schedule that no one caught this error going back though the episode?

Haha I feel bad for the staff who had to apologize
