According to the official website, Mouretsu Pirates Movie was announced to be premiered in the winter of 2014.

Well, I hope this means the animation will be beyond spectacular.

It better not end up like the last time Satou made a movie squeal to a show he directed. It better not be a repeat of Martian Successor Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness.

Personally I think this should have a season 2 and if it still needs a little more then add the movie but lets be honest here they left it on such a huge cliff hanger...

And the last part was anime only so reading the LNs doesn't even help resolve the series' ending.

I like the new designs. While it does seem like a bit of a wait, the time will go by fast.

Movies make better money that's why.

Anyway this will probably be better in a movie since as a series it was kind of slow and it wasted lots of air time on stupid stuff. As a movie it would probably have to get to the point faster and not have much time for stupid things.

Winter 2014 is the start of 2014 so really only 1 year.......... and another extra 6 months for the BDs and for us english folk to watch it.
