^ There should be more than one DB mod around, so I would expect that there should be someone who can work on your request, which does not require wholesome change like removing the "shoujo ai" tag.

That's true. It'd be hard work to work on the vast DB MAL has with just one person, that's for sure!

They should replace all cases of "shoujo ai" with "yuri" in the DB first before removing it as one of the possible genre tags, as to save time having to relabel those DB entries with yuri, as yuri can be a subtone or canon.

but if you guys can convince the mods here (in addition to removing shoujo ai as one of the "genres" on MAL), that'll be great I guess.
I have already tried both PM and writing in DB modification thread (where I saw your post a bit later after my post which is http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=30866&show=5040#msg22751389 ) but I have heard no response so far. Ugh....

I have no idea if they read my post to add the airing date of OreImo., or they saw the news and added it. Hopefully your request for the removal of the "shoujo ai" terminology wasn't ignored... but that particular anime mod hasn't logged in for a week now apparently.

^ I do not agree that start-date uses pre-air date which is accessible by very few people, and none from overseas. Let's face it, not only Symphogear-G is having pre-air event. Dangan Ronpa, Genei wo kakeru Taiyo and Silver Spoon are doing it too. Do these anime show the preair date as Start Date too? In my opinion, using preair date as the Start Date is totally pointless when only a hundred or two people in Japan can see it.

This has always been probably the absolute silliest thing about the MAL encyclopedia and I have no idea why it still happens.

The same can be said about Red Data Girl which aired a lot earlier on Nico Nico Douga before being on TV. It's not so accessible unless people have a subscription to the service (correct me if i'm wrong, as I haven't watched preview anime on Nico before) or downloads the Nico rips. They both come under "Preview airings", which is why I think the pre-air date takes precedence here.

I have found though that if people try to add the pre-air date after the official airing date has passed... the mods don't bother with it any more. It's just part of the DB guidelines here, but if you guys can convince the mods here (in addition to removing shoujo ai as one of the "genres" on MAL), that'll be great I guess.

Then why does MAL list it as June 24th? Which one is it?

Straight from its MAL entry, under "More Info":

Pre-airs at an event on June 24, 2013. Regular broadcast starts on July 5.

Where is the Source that Season 2 will start on 3th January 2013

The source of this information was most likely this and it's NOT the airing of Season 2, it's a re-run of Season 1.

]IMO I said summer cause schools here are on vacation a lot so I guess Summer over there would be good too but Spring would be #2 for me. Winter looks like is bad cause of them exams.
I know I said summer but only based on Americas period of school break.
I see, since you said "I have a good general info of the industry and strategy wise Spring/Summer would be most optimal for diffusing it." I thought you know something about the anime industry that would be good to share, but if you base your guess on America period of school break, then I guess there is not much for us to talk about on this particular topic then.

And between spring and summer, you think summer is more likely, right?
NO! The exact thing is to time it when the viewers do not have school and are most free for a max on not stressing over their school and be enticed into the action of the genre.
No? You don't think summer is more likely? Then why did you say "IMO it will be summer" ?

The discussion of which season is best for a business point of view is always a topic in Japanese forum. The conventional wisdom is usually that Winter is worst because it is exam season. But since summer vacation in Japan is not as long as in the west, Summer does not mean much less school compared to, say, Spring, so which season is really the best is still pretty much debatable as far as I see.
