Both the Death Note movies as well as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time anime have been added to the program of the 2007 Fantastic Film Fest held in Austin, Texas. This will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema from Sept. 20 to Sept 27.

The festival, in its third year, hopes to be one of North America's top showcase for new sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and other genre film and animation. Tickets are available online.

Ugh! I'm only about 1-2 hours from Austin when that's going on and I can't go! Talk about stinkage! I'm glad they made it, though! ^_^ Exciting stuff.

That is some stinkage!
No matter what it is, when it comes to entertainment you like, it seems better to be able to see it in a crowd. Audience response is a powerful thing. I remember seeing the FMA movie in a theater months after I had seen it the first time and multiple times, even, but it was so great to sit in a crowd and get a feel for the audience reaction. Foreign media is so hard to find in my area so it is always nice when the opportunity comes along.
