The positives for me...
~ "Actor Masi Oka ("Hiro" on Heroes and "Dr. Max Bergman" in Hawaii 5-0), along with Michael Ewing from Callhan Filmworks are on board as producers." I hope Masi Oka stays with the project.
~ "VIZ Productions was not involved with the Dragon Ball movie at all. The Dragon Ball film project had been in development at 20th Century Fox for several years, and had entered production before VIZ Productions was formed."
~ And Viz Productions goal: "We build a relationship between the creator, his/her team in Japan and the Hollywood creative team to create a basic common vision from the beginning of the process."
On the down side of things, the light novel "All You Need is Kill" is also getting adapted. I don't know how people are going to feel about Keiji Kiriya being played by Tom Cruise. On one side, the book does take place in America in the future and there are people whose name doesn't match their ethnicity. (Penelope Garcia - Criminal Minds) On the other, it does feel like they are grabbing a major actor in order to make sure they make some money. (Going to go and check out the forums for "All You Need is Kill" to see what they actually think of this... I think they have more room to complain at this point in time...)
P.S. - I do hope though when the casting call comes people don't cry "white washing" if the cast is of a Eurasian and Asian decent.

He might write a good script and the studios will always demand something else. Might as well have another DB:Evolution... :/
To make matters worse, Hollywood doesn't seem to cast Asian actors for other than stereotypical roles. Honestly, I wanted to become an actor when I was a kid. Looking at it now, I don't think I'll have a chance in this business with the current perspective on ethnic casting. Such a shame, really.

Hollywood is expected to ruin it though. I really hope they cancel it or something.
Only if they can actually be competent, maybe, just maybe I'll be tolerant of this "live-action move."

I don't see how it could get worse.
What I wanted to say.
Heck the Live Action movie may be better than the anime. XD

Dragonball Evolution was unbearable; there was no connection to Akira Toriyama's story apart from the character names.
The Tekken movie was also shamefull (since when are Christy and Jin love interests? And why wasn't Christy Brazillian?).
I don't even want to go near Avatar or Streetfighter (chun-li story), yet I may watch illegally in order to judge them properly. ;)
Now, we have; Dragonball Evolution 2, Deathnote, God of War (game, I know), Akira and now, Bleach, to look forward to.
Not only anime, now, current running British series's are being re-made by the US (Being Human, Shameless, Skins)...
Do the US feel it's residents won't understand a British accent? Just as they think people can't read and watch at the same time?
Happy viewing people. ;)

they gonna fucked up the movie just like they did why DBZ and others
No, Bleach's mangaka has already said he will never let anyone do a live action version. He said if he wanted to have his creations be movies, he'd have gone into film writing.
So no, this is a lie and is not happening.
