I dont watch fansubs cause there free.....actually i never thought of it. But the reason i watch is so i can know what happens in the show before the dub. Code geass for example.....why stay watching the dub which is still in the first season when you can watch the sub and see it end before the dub even starts the second seson.

Because you then stop supporting ratings on Adult Swim, they push anime back another hour to show ATHF repeats, revenue for anime programming drops, which may lead to AS dropping anime and putting a large dent in the US anime industry. That's why I watch anime on TV instead of fansubs while those shows are airing. Why start R2 now anyways when you can wait another 9-10 weeks (not to mention that episode 19 just aired, so you'd already be very behind).

Thats exciting and interesting to think that they whould do that so quickly and fluidly here. I imagine the ratings play a large part in that - either, they're good enough that they want to capitalize on it by releasing it quickly or they're not good enough and they're trying to make that up by releasing it quickly. End result is the same, suppose. That whould be my guess.

Wow, not what I was expecting ?

I'm glad they aired Code Geass though, I love recording and rewatching c; the anime on t.v. has gotten, better lately imo. Looks like Seirei no Moribito will air too? To be honest, I think they *should* also have waited, for at least a month to release the second season ! I mean, it just makes you much more excited to see the second season. Oh well, I guess it'll help on their end. c;

Watching anime on tv has it's downsides too.
For example, compare the Dubs to the subs (some made me gag), and there are commercials, and stuff, and It's so much easier to just download a good subbed version of an anime, then hook up the computer to a tv... well for me at least.

if he finds the dub annoying (as should anyone who is really into anime since most dubs suck and ruin the feel of the shows) then why is my replying to him being "annoyed" by the dub off-topic?

Even as someone who watches only subs I still find it amazingly ignorant for someone to claim that one can not be into anime simply because they enjoy dubs. Many dub fans support the industry more than most of us "sub elitists" and I doubt one would spend money (a lot of money at that, DVDs are expensive) on something they weren't really into.

By the way, I'm not saying "blah blah support the industry fansubs suck". I'm just saying that you need to get your ideas straight before making stupid generalizations, if this can even be considered a generalization.

btw, try adding some crap to your list before claiming to be someone who is "really into anime".

That's awesome. I better start getting use to the voices in Geass. I'm still annoyed with them.

why dont u just watch the original audio versions?

Obviously because BlackRubie wants to enjoy the dub...:/

Again, this thread isn't even about the dub, it's about the fact that it's airing...>_>

...Y'know what, I'm not gonna talk to someone who says "you're not an anime fan if you like dubs". I'm just gonna drop it here.
