Synopsis
In the near future, when the perfected space elevator has triggered the era of space colonization, an accident occurs, involving the raiding of a space station by an unknown enemy organization named "Oblicuse". The human race plummet into a space war with an extraterrestrial life form for the first time. In order to resist the overwhelming technology of the Oblicuse, Chronos Incorporated decides to scout the descendants of historical heroes from around the world to fuse them with battle suits known as Gears to create specialized biological weapons called Chronos Gears. These Chronos Gears would train within a specially established school campus to prepare for combat. The descendants of heroes such as Ryouma Sakamoto, Musashi Miyamoto, Napoleon Bonaparte and Jean d'Arc now gather to save the solar system!

The manga release has already been announced to start on the G-Mode Web Comic Magazine, COMIC Meteor. The OVA will also be released this summer. The game will materialize Gear combat, while preserving the atmosphere of the world setting in the anime. In-game illustrations are planned to be drawn by various popular mangakas. More information is to come on the official webpage.

A specially established school campus - check

Like so, so, so many other shows.

Specific super powers - check

Like so, so, so, so, so many other shows.

Descendants of historical heroes vs recreating history - check

Two things that are distinctly different.

Going by the above, Milky Holmes would be a Horizon ripoff too. I'd love to see someone make that argument.

Obviously, no one can make an argument as elaborate and difficult to argue with as you're making here, so you'll probably have to give it a shot yourself.

? But this synopsis sounds nothing like Horizon's plot.

It sounds more than similar if you ask me.

A specially established school campus - check
Specific super powers - check
Descendants of historical heroes vs recreating history - check

The latter is probably the most important since in both cases, history directly affects the present.

I agree with the slight backlash. As cool as this does sound, the fact that it includes "school" in the description evokes traumatic memories of all those who browse this forum.

doesn't look half bad

i would have been more impressed if it was mere normal people rather than "historical" ones. it just sounds so bland and overused.

Uhh...It looks...okay...

If Brains Base did it I'd be in, but otherwise probably not.

A more historical version of Infinite Stratos. Not sure what to think about that.

looks kind of interesting

Why does it have to be a school setting? Why does this remind me of Hidan no Aria with that heroes descendants crap? Why all that after such a promising first line of the synopsis?

Whatever, I'll pass.

inb4 I react negatively to this.

The official art makes it look generic. The synopsis is mildly interesting, but then they had to say "school campus", didn't they? It's possible that it could turn out to be more interesting than it looks, but from what I see here I don't think I'd care about picking it up.

I might consider it.

They want to make a Horizon clone or what?..

AGAIN with the school campus ?
Seriously, can't they make any anime without school in it ?

Sounds pretty generic to be honest but I like the idea of a multimedia project.
