Anime Movie of Light Novel 'AURA Maryuin Koga Saigo no Tatakai' Confirmed

According to Kinokuniya, Tanaka Romeo's light novel "AURA ~Mayuin Koga Saigo no Tatakai~" was announced to get a film adaptation. A trailer of the movie will be bundled with the first volume of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita Blu-ray.

Its manga adaptation by Hoshino Koichiro has been serialized in Monthly Shonen Sunday Super since this February.

Synopsis:
Sato Ichiro once called himself 'Maryuin Koga' and behaved as if he were a hero in a fantasy world (cf. Hououin Kyouma in Steins;Gate). His strange behavior caused his classmates to bully him and he left the school. At his new school, he tries to behave like a normal boy, but one day he meets a girl who cosplays with a blue cape. She calls herself "a researcher traveling from the outer world to search for the 'Dragon Terminal'". At first, Ichiro rejects the girl, Sato Ryoko, because her behavior reminds him of his embarrassing past, but he changes his mind after seeing her getting bullied. In order to bring Ryoko back to real life, Ichiro accepts her and his past and begins the final battle as Maryuin Koga.

The news was first leaked on Web Sunday last December, but the publisher had denied the information.

The DVD release Sept 18 so I guess we have until then. Urghhhh oh well :) I hope this movie is great

An ice cream for moar Romeo Tanaka adaptation.

He and Seiji Kishi seems like going to be a promising duo. Also, this seems like an upcoming Chuunibyou, only written by Romeo. Will watch for sure.

I seriously don't care about the synopsis. Even if I thought it was uninteresting (what I don't), I'd watch this anyway if it's from the author of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.

Just slightly awkward wording. I assume "real life" means normal "bringing her back to reality", i.e. out of what he thinks are just her fantasies/delusions.

The plot's sounding somewhat weird just from reading it now but I guess the real thing might be a worthwhile sight. Won't do any harm to check it out once it's been released.
