KyoAni To Animate Light Novel 'Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!'

According to the official website, Kyoto Animation will animate light novel "Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!". The novel is the winner of the encouragement prize in the first Kyoto Animation Award.

Synopsis:
A school love comedy. Togashi Yuta had been in a delusion of being a hero (Chuunibyo, Adolescent Delusion Syndrome) when he was in junior high school. He has outgrown from Chuunibyo after entering high school, but one day is forced to make a contract with his classmate Takanashi Rikka. She is an active Chuunibyo girl.

Sounds unlikely, considering that Nichijou's sense of humor isn't theirs to keep or lose to begin with, they just borrowed it from a mangaka and made it move on the screen, the same way as they borrowed Fumoffu's, or Haruhi's, sense of humor from novelists, and Clannad's sense of humor from VNovelist.

That's what studios do.

KyoAni is a good studio as far as high quality animation and professional directing goes, but don't see too much into it, as if they would be telling their own brand of stories.

I wonder if KyoAni will decide to keep the style of humor from Nichijou in their future anime... it would be quite fortunate if they did.

Huh, KyoAni are my favourite anime studio and I thought Nichijou was charmless bullshit. And I've seen a lot of people who like Nichijou specifically because it's NOT like other KyoAni shows. :|

Yes this setup is completely identical to FMP TSR, FMP Fumoffu, Munto, Clannad, K-ON!, Lucky Star, Nichijou, Air, Hyouka, and Kanon.

Oh wait it's completely different from every single one of them, and is only remotely comparable to one (Haruhi), and even that's a serious stretch.

The price killed Nichijou in sales, $90+ for 2 cour anime doesn't fly unless it's IM@S and the ep structure of the DVD/BD release was terrible, it had more than the standard 9 volumes in that category and at the median $90, it's overpriced by Japanese standards.

Also, is it me, or does the other girl without the eyepatch look like a personified version of Charlotte from Madoka Magica?
