KyoAni's New Mystery TV Anime 'Hyouka' Announced [Update Jan 20]

According to their official website, Kyoto Animation has announced a new TV anime "Hyouka". It is based on the mystery light novel "Kotenbu series" first published in 2001.

Synopsis:
Oriki Hotaro is a high school boy, who always acts passively. One day, he enters "Koten Bu (Classic Literature Club)" as recommended by his elder sister. There he meets Chitanda Eru, Fukube Satoshi, and Ibara Mayaka. Chitanda is a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity once she says, "I'm interested in it (Watashi, Kininarimasu)". Fubube is a smiling boy who excels in memory, but he never constructs his own deduction. Ibara is a short girl and is strict with others and herself. She loves Fubube, but he always dodges her approach. They begin to investigate a case that occurred 33 years ago. Hints of the mystery is buried in an old collection of works of the former members of Koten Club. The collection is titled "Hyouka".

This idea got viral after Endless Eight, that surely it wasn't KyoAni's fault, but the EEEEVIL suits at publishing forced them to stretch it over more disc. Ever since that, Kadokawa is blamed for all negative aspects of KyoAni.

Personally, I think that it's far-fetched. EE itself appeared exactly like what a trollish studio would do after getting high, and wanting to do something uniqe, not a conservative publishing house's planned business model.

The usual team, not surprised. Probably it will something KyoAni standards. But, Tanaka Kohei as the music composition?

Also, dat design character. Its not particular at all, c'mon KyoAni...

You forgot Little Busters! Though I suppose it's been mentioned enough in this thread (as it will any KyoAni announcement thread until it is announced itself).

I'm kinda iffy on the art change. Sure we get some quality (usual) Kyoani, but we don't get the artsy fartsy novel style

My guess is that this will be a half-season show. There's only so much you can do with one novel.

BTT, I found that it's hard to google this LN, even just to search for other art than the one in MAL. The only fan pic drawing that I can found is this :

Anyone can share how it probably looks like? Since I am in a line between optimism and afraid that Kyo-ani will do another gamble. I believe this will still be good, but I'm afraid of another financial failure.
