Producer of Tiger & Bunny Appreciates the Fried Rice from the International Fan Club

Ozaki Masayuki, the executive producer of Tiger & Bunny, posted on his twitter that he deeply appreciated the pictures of fried rice cooked by the fans. He said he will open a cafe featuring the anime in the near future.

Fried rice is a reference to Barnaby's line in episode 24.

Aww, that's so cute <3 OMG, I didn't know they would react so well :O I wasn't even expecting a response honestly lol It's good to know that even the staff is great :D EDIT: Now I regret not participating in that event ;_;

The show endeared itself to people in such a way that they took it to heart and did something silly to show their affection. It was just meant to be a show of support is all.

It makes me so happy. The fans have been wonderful - not only in regards to organizing the frie(n)d rice event - and clearly so are the people behind the show. I'm so glad they believed in the show and pursued it - makes that 'Let's Believe' banner seem so relevant. <3

That's awesome how they commented about like that. It was so much fun making fried rice for this event! It really was wonderful how so many people joined in to show their love for Tiger & Bunny. ^__^

Both the director, Satou Keiichi, and the writer, Nishida Masafumi, replied to it as well.

Basically "that's a shitload of fried rice (lol) thanks and (thanks for the food)"

Nishida's blog:
"It's been a while since I got teary-eyed.
The line about the rice was one that had a lot of thought put into it. Towards Kotetsu it wasn't a plea "please don't die", but a very Barnaby-like attempt to both encourage him and to tell how much he wants him to live.
Barnaby has lived for nothing but revenge and unable to accept people, yet the extent to which Kotetsu's has humanized him is clearly seen in ep24. That line also expresses much gratitude.
All that rice that the fans created kind of makes me feel very rewarded and as a member of the staff I am very grateful.
My deepest thanks to you, and again, thank you."
