Not very newsworthy :/ All I see are bishounens, Shounen mainstreams, and vampires.

I think you both misunderstood what I said. I'm not saying each title I mentioned has ALL of genres/categories, but merely one or two of them. I know what each of the shows are and I know how they differ. That being said, this is missing the point I was making.

is a shounen manga with pure action , few harem romance and isnt centred in vampires,has many different monsters like ghouls,trolls,orcs,zombies,lizardmans,sucubus,witch,Ice Woman,etc

and so was Dance in the Vampire Bund, it's a heavy dark seinen manga with full of violence and nudity, definitely not for girls

I guess the term "coincidence" doesn't exist in anyone's mental dictionary since everyone here seems so convinced that because Vampire Knight, Rosario+Vampire, Ouran, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Skip Beat and Black Butler happened to all make the top 10 last week, there's a sudden push for girly, vampire, bi-shounen, fujoshi-bait stuff.

People say "vampire" and everyone thinks Twilight. Yeah, Twilight really has ruined the reputation of vampires. I don't like Twilight, but I don't think Vampire Knight is as bad as people say. However, I don't think it deserves #1. Then again, this just shows what people are buying, not what is actually the best.

I'm glad shows like Shiki can somewhat redeem vampires.
