Do you like mangas that are written in a smart manner—similar to "Death Note"? Then look no further, you have found the series, just for that. The 1st volume really gets you interested.

But, sometimes the dialogue in explaining the science, will bore you every now and then. As you continue to read the other volumes of the series, and it is a long one. This hurts it the most.

However, I'm really satisfied on how they ended the final volume. Felt right for the series and they managed to stick the landing. Most Shonen manga have a hard time doing this.

Overall the series is worth a ...

To start with, I didn't have high expectations of Dr. Stone when I started it. I was just looking for something to read on the Shonen Jump app, and it seemed like a good start. And then I caught up in 4 days.

Story: 9/10
The story was interesting, in that Senku and cast have to come up with and create different scientific creations to overcome different obstacles they face. I found the variety of obstacles entertaining and the processes by which they are overcome to be pretty unpredictable. I also loved the scale of the story itself; how it all starts at the bottom and quickly ...

A glorious celebration of the power of science set on the stage of a unique postapocalypse in which the human population of Earth has been petrified by unknown means. The profound dream of the fortuitously revivified genius Senku and his allies is to save *everyone* by building a technological civilisation from scratch in the stone world. Along the way he and the kingdom of science face challenges both natural and political - in the form of competing visions for the future. Vivid, dynamic artwork and empathetic characters complement the dramatic storyline in one of the best science positive manga I've read. Check out the anime ...

"Man is born with a will to survive..."

Dr.Stone is great. It's just fascinating how sometimes simple combination of good humor, gorgeous artwork, interesting characters, not oftenly used concept, science and beautiful message: humanity is force to be reckon with, can turn out to be such a fine piece of art.

Dr.STONE is (above everything else) about mankind, it's greatness and ingenuity. Riichiro Inagaki's and Boichi's manga made me proud to be a human being.

"...He won't take no for an answer".

If you love Dr.Stone's main theme as much as I do, I recommend you to check out Boichi's manhwa "Hotel: Since 2079" (2004) and it's reimagining ...

Alright, my ratin might seem a little high but i see it as a bet on the future.
Dr. Stone is only at its beginning and it looks quite promising.

The post-apocalyptic setting, although too trendy nowadays, is put to good use. The back to the stone world idea is interesting and is simple enough to be catchy and leaves lots of opening for new plot uses.

Story :

A very shonen like story, good guy bad guy, clash of wills and Dreams. Some mystery have yet to be uncovered, what is the petrification ? What has become of the human race ? You wanna se more of it.

Art ...

It's a fresh wind for shonen manga. The combination of science, action and philosophy is very well done, without it being boring or too much. Yes, there are some exaggerations but the manga presents a really promising perspective for shonen manga.
I was very excited when the anime started airing and because I couldn't wait for the rest I decided to buy the manga and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. It's very rare we see a manga or anime that has to tackle such difficult and educational matters while still being exciting and action-packed. We should encourage such works not only ...

I really like the uniqueness of the premise, trying to bring back science from the Stone Age and then to the modern world. And it's actually brilliant, with the various inventions being a simple quest or an item that they acquired and the end goal. Taking what we know as battle manga and instead of battles, you have them trying to make something that makes life easier.

But I think the biggest draw of the series is Senku, he is a mad scientist but that isn't all to his character at all. He sees the potential in everyone, in even the littlest inventions and never ...

As an Engineer and manga enthusiast, I personally have to say that Dr. Stone really sets up the bar high for the Edutainment genre. It is very difficult to develop the science concepts the author uses but Dr. Stone does that beautifully, and it also explains that Science is not just knowing stuff but a series of continuous trials and errors until you meet your goal.

The characters are also a great part of the story; many of them are relatable and they all have some sort of uniqueness but they don't try to stand out. They all have a role and they play it ...

UNIQUE PREMISE!

Our MC Senku vows to use real science to advance technology and bring back to life the society we know, which was wiped out by a mysterious worldwide phenomemon that turned all humans into stone statues.

The enjoyment of the series lies in the ingenuity and cleverness Senku and his friends display to overcome the odds by creating history-changing scientific advancements well known to us (antibiotics, long-distance communication, guns etc) using only what few resources they have available to them in a wild, hostile world full of great mysteries.

This gimmick works very well because the whole proccess of reaching these achievements is displayed like ...

Story - 7
The premise of the story is quite unique and interesting. The story itself is good, but it's nothing amazing - as you would expect of a shounen. It's a standard survival/crafting/exploration type of story, one which some would even call "Minecraft manga version". The plot resolves around the MC trying to rebuild civilization from zero. He builds different modern-world inventions and defeats or befriends the enemies, using those scientific inventions and his well-planned tactics.

It's also important to note that all of the science presented in the manga (apart from the sci-fi stuff) is real and was actually consulted with a scientist, so you ...

dr stone's manga is absolutely amazing the story negs with every arc being different and new elements and characters being interesting and never boring, all to top it off with the best manga artist BOICHI drawing for it. the villains are truly scary asf and the final "villain" if u wanna call "him" that is the scariest of all. the premise doesnt change yet the story gets more and more interesting as u go on. each character serves a role and nobody is too similar to eachother. and the science... absolutely brilliant and perfect in every aspect. the journey to collecting the resources needed never ...

First off it has to be said, for a shounen series this is a departure from the norm and I say that as a compliment. Once I began reading the manga it struck me as a new story and with the amount of borrowing that happens in the industry I was certainly intrigued.

Story 6/10
The premise behind the show deserves a 10/10 in my opinion (everyone turns to stone and wakes up 3700 years later is new and fresh). I would have loved to give the story a higher rating but I believe the writer faltered and wrote himself into a corner multiple times in ...

Finally finished it. Only took me nearly four years. Really great series with a good hook, colourful fun characters and.... SCIENCE!

I will say that the reveal of the being behind the petrification while not altogether disappointing did feel a bit... cheap? Like this was built up for a LONG time... idk it was fine. It's the journey that's important, not the destination, like they say.

Senku's scientific crusade was an epic ride to witness... and it wasn't until I reached the last few chapters that I realized how much I'm gonna miss these characters. Their imprint has been left and man it's gonna be weird not ...

Conclusion: Sure, the ending isn’t worth the journey, but the journey is definitely worth your time. Go read it now. One of the best experiences I have ever had was while reading this manga. Truly splendid. Too good to be true. Let’s start from the basics.

The story is just as given in the synopsis of this manga. This manga, having a supernatural theme, actually feels like a supernatural story. Normally, in a fantasy world, it takes a little time for the world-building to happen, but this manga didn’t pull any punches. It gave a smack right in the start by giving us a really dope ...

10/10 plot. It's very consistent. Not only was it enjoyable, but you learn actual science facts. I even used it for some of my science projects irl. I'm never bored from start to finish that I reread this a bunch of times when it was continually updating. And thank god to the anime release that I have a soundtrack to go along with it. I'm so skeptical from the beginning since it's basically adam and eve rebuilding modern society in just 232 chapters. Just how???

I always thought "no way" but I know very well that they'll pull through it step-by-step. SPOILERS they build phones from ...

I set a low expectation before reading the manga, and it blew my mind. Never thought a story about a post-apocalyptic world could be so enticing. Here are some thoughts:

- Being scientifically accurate aside (cuz I'm definitely in no position to judge that), the story which revolves around a lone prodigy surviving and rebuilding a collapsed world from scratch is definitely something I have never read and was looking for. It brings some The Martian vibe, but even wilder as he has to start definitely from scratch. A very well-built world plus a logical events, I feel like if the population were to be really ...

When I first started reading Dr. Stone I was very confused as to how the plot would end. I could not at all imagine at all of it ending the way it did. It was a very enjoyable ride and this has to be one of the best manga I have read. the ending did go beyond science a bit but still made "kinda" sense.

Story:
The story is very interesting, I just could not stop reading because it was so intense at times.

Art:
It is drawn by Boichi, what do you expect? He is a GOAT.

Overall:
The story is a definite must read that I think ...

[CONTAINS SPOILERS]

Dr. Stone is without a doubt one of the best current shōnen, the way it tells its story, its characters, its art, all its scientific inventions.

Story: 9
Its story is simple, Dr. Stone presents us with a post-apocalyptic world, where all there is is fauna and flora. The work presents us with the idea of returning all the science lost in these 3000 years of petrification, and revive all humans. To do this, he insists on showing us how with just sticks and rocks not only fire can be created, but also shelter and protection, and using this as a base, he shows us the ...

There aren't a lot of manga out there as brainy and beautiful as Dr. Stone, which just ended today! Like most of the higher-concept manga that involve outsmarting an opponent (Like Death Note, Promised Neverland), the start has a much slower pace than battle-oriented stories, and this works in Dr. Stone's favor. There's a lot to cover, and the slow build-up from absolutely nothing to rebuilding the world spends much more time on the easier to visualize starting society portion.

The characters are pretty broad, but the main ones get a ton of little moments to shine. It's not just the Senku show, even if ...

Dr. Stone has an interesting premise and is easily among the best manga running in Shounen Jump. I couldn't get enough of it when it was released - I found myself re-reading chapters 2 or even 3 times! I've never done that with any other manga before (I was maybe doing that up to around chapter 50-ish).

The first story arc revolves around rebuilding civilization from scratch. If you've played anything similar to Minecraft, Age of Empires, or Don't Starve, you can immediately relate. It's interesting to watch the group go step-by-step towards civilized structures, slowly adding more members to their party. The whole thing ...
