It's a fantastic story, well-written, incredibly believable but still making me incredibly entertained each chapter. It takes the unique premise of having a much older protagonist, and uses it to its greatest advantage by most cases, and the story is light-hearted and incredibly entertaining with compelling characters in the story to make them all interesting and heartwarming.

The plot and worldbuilding has its own unique spin, doing the classical tropes well, and doing enough to stand out, least of all the premise being about a thirty year old man who happens to finally get his dreams after years of just admitting that he can't make ... it and settle for cleaning up after the heroes fight.

There's something rather special about Sakamoto days, it reminds me a little bit of Gintama but does its own thing so incredibly well. The first chapter gives me a ton of laughs, and so does every chapter in the series.

The humor is on point, the characters are entertaining and intriguing, even Sakamoto's wife is, well she did convince him to give up the life of a hitman so that took some special ideas too.

It's executed really well, and that what makes this shine. I just read the first few chapters, but it is solid and incredibly entertaining as a manga and keeps me ... waiting for the next chapter.

I didn't expect to enjoy the series, initially it feels relatively like every other shounen. But this really touched my heart in a way that I never thought was possible nor did I ever expect it to, instead of it taking the normal ways out, it has managed to surprise so much of me. The many twists and turns of the story.

The mythology that it uses with its own unique spins, with plenty of mysteries and then twists upon twists. And above more incredibly memorable characters that you just can't forget. It takes every character but then add them with a singular great twist. ... The twists are astounding, developing each character's backstory, not to mention given them such depth and layers more than usually. By this time, it isn't just Rin who's important, there's a lot to their development but not every character gets shafted either.

Ao no exorcist is a series that gets better as it goes along, initially I didn't have any issue just reading a few but the more I actually read the work, the more I just couldn't resist going to the next chapter. It gets addicting that you just can't stop, and I couldn't until the latest chapter. It's an amazing piece of work, that makes itself stand out.

I really like the uniqueness of the premise, trying to bring back science from the Stone Age and then to the modern world. And it's actually brilliant, with the various inventions being a simple quest or an item that they acquired and the end goal. Taking what we know as battle manga and instead of battles, you have them trying to make something that makes life easier.

But I think the biggest draw of the series is Senku, he is a mad scientist but that isn't all to his character at all. He sees the potential in everyone, in even the littlest inventions and never ... feeling there is any waste for anyone. And then it is what pits him against almost every single villain in the series, it's his idea that there is never anything that is truly worthless and as a scientist, he never stops.

That is perhaps a very good message that it gives that there is always use for almost anything, and nothing is truly wasted. As well as the larger goal of restoring the modern world. It makes this series almost a definite for me to continue, to see how he will bring back the modern world and what else the mangaka has in store for us.

This is a series ambitious in its premise, and fantastic in its execution.

I love Gintama, it had been such an integral part of my life and balancing the seriousness while still. making the comedy take first priority as it is a gag mange. It's the story of a man who has lost everything he needed to live for, and eventually finding it. The trio which eventually becomes akin to a family, the ever expanding cast of characters.

Sorachi-sensei is amazing when it comes to the characters and making you care for them, even more so when it came to female characters. Something that did amaze me a lot was how he didn't define girls as one thing ... or another, but purely by who they are and pushing boundaries to what is usually shown on screen and what isn't. There's a reason why Kagura is my favourite female character, even as all of them are an absolute delight. And when I read it, feels like it isn't just narrowly defining them.

Not to mention, the sheer insanity of some of the arcs, but only makes me appreciate and feel that Sorachi-sensei is a genius when it came to making things work, bringing it into places that I didn't think would be possible but also able to then switch back to serious arcs.

Overall, this was a masterpiece that I will fondly look back upon and reread.

I am really speechless when it comes to how unique this is, in its take, and the execution down to the main character and the cast. Denji is a really sad character, no denying it, and the series certainly doesn't hold back on the twists and the turns and there is certainly no plot armour for most of the characters. And it fits, this is a really brutal world.

And the characters are charming, they make you care for them, and intensely aware of how brutal the reality is. And how tragic it can take a turn. And how unexpected. But the art is phenomenal, ... some of them are gorgeous and the horror is so well conveyed and gives me chills.

And once you pick the story up you simply cannot put it down, I had to restrain myself and then just simply not care a little bit and just read it all. An intense, thrilling ride that only takes your heart through twists and turns and then some more.

Fully recommended.

A true masterpiece animated and brought to life to truly represent how good it is. I can only hope that they will continue and wouldn't even mind taking a break to animate the next. It brings the whole prologue with the justice, exaggerating but not beyond the usual for norse saga.

All the while hitting hard with its themes, and bringing so much of it to justice. The characters of Thorfinn, Canute and Askeladd are perhaps the biggest part of the story for this particular arc and it didn't change too far from each other. With some of the scenes being rearranged but it is ... done well.

The sounds here great, some of them were chilling, setting up dread for a future scene, and both the openings and endings are favourites of mine. An anime worth watching

This was a manga that had intrigued me from the beginning, it had everything that would interest me and it entertained so completely that the first few chapters had me laughing out loud. It takes a family and turns it right on its head, introducing unique situations for each of the characters and makan it hilarious.

Even as it grows, it still continues to work under the theme of family and bringing new members in that completely throws people off and changes the dynamic, which is precisely how families are and developing the spy storyline. Again, just brilliant and hilarious, with a strong setting with ... the flavour of the Cold War and a family comedy.

It proves just why it is one of Jump's heavy hitters right now.

Just hilarious, with each episode adding more layers and progressing without ever getting to that point but still feeling that it is great. What happens when two proud people simply won't try and admit their feelings, and come up with convoluted ways to confess? The result is hilarious with plenty of brilliance involved. Again, I enjoyed this ride laughing all the way even as I'm not big for romantic comedies.

But this is a brilliant premise, and fantastic execution which makes it entertaining. By the way, the music is actually fantastic and I kind of have the opening kind of stuck in my head.
