I am really speechless when it comes to how unique this is, in its take, and the execution down to the main character and the cast. Denji is a really sad character, no denying it, and the series certainly doesn't hold back on the twists and the turns and there is certainly no plot armour for most of the characters. And it fits, this is a really brutal world.

And the characters are charming, they make you care for them, and intensely aware of how brutal the reality is. And how tragic it can take a turn. And how unexpected. But the art is phenomenal, some of them are gorgeous and the horror is so well conveyed and gives me chills.

And once you pick the story up you simply cannot put it down, I had to restrain myself and then just simply not care a little bit and just read it all. An intense, thrilling ride that only takes your heart through twists and turns and then some more.
