Preliminary (21/237 chp)
Alright, my ratin might seem a little high but i see it as a bet on the future.
Dr. Stone is only at its beginning and it looks quite promising.

The post-apocalyptic setting, although too trendy nowadays, is put to good use. The back to the stone world idea is interesting and is simple enough to be catchy and leaves lots of opening for new plot uses.

Story :

A very shonen like story, good guy bad guy, clash of wills and Dreams. Some mystery have yet to be uncovered, what is the petrification ? What has become of the human race ? You wanna se more of it.

Art :

That one is a strong point for me. Sometimes it's kinda cartoony which creates a nice effect when it gets more detailed, with great muscle definition and environment. Some panel are really inspired and "badass".

Characters :

Extra extra stereotyped, but on purpose. The scientist is really sharp but weak phisycaly and he knows it. The bullhead is simple minded but quite resistant and has a lot of stamina etc.. They make a great duo. The scientist is written way better as he stands more as the real mc here (imo).
The bad guy is interesting and has potential too. By the way except for the bad guy i think thay have names that don't really stick for us non japanese.. It just doesnt sound "iconic" enough.

Enjoyment :

You like what you see, you want to see more, you get curious..

Overall :

Definitely a Young manga that has a lot of promises to fulfill. We'll see how it manages to make it last
