I think probably 2007 because they had sexier reality TV then and I could impress people in game modding communities with my knowledge from 2023.

But would that even make me happy?

Year 69, either AD or BC. I have my reasons that I'm not willing to divulge.

I guess it could be nice to be some random critter in the swamp with one (1) braincell before humans existed.

1950s. It looked a much simpler time, I would just want to sit on a train station or cutting and just watch steam trains all day.

i would go to the 1900’s and stop a lot of things: for Example, WW1, WW2, slavery, and more. If I was born back then the worlds would be much different.

2000. I would be heavily interested in seeing the progression of things I currently am invested in (visual novels, games and the japanese internet in general).
Please, imagine that there's something funny here.

Eh... probably for me I would go back into my early childhood age ( late 2000s-early 2010s)... perhaps, maybe if I did, some things wouldn't happen, but ig that's another story...

OP I would take my family and run to the 1888 in France/Italy/US. Or to the 1950's US/France those two time periods are fascinating for several reasons.

Excuse me, but what slavery was around in the 1900? WTH are you talking about/on?

You do know that right now there are more slaves than ever before in human history. Fact, plus right now there are probably up to two million black slaves in Africa and the Middle East. Without counting the 7+ Million slaves located in India .... So tell me again what slavery are you talking about?

Or are you a zoomer that prefers feelings over facts, believe everything CNN/ABC/NBC/MSNBC/WaPo/NY Times/BBC says?

Oh another thing, if you go back and prevent WW II from taking place, you can kiss goodbye to your mobile phone, the internet, jet engines/jet airplanes, too many things to mention them all in the medical field, nuclear power aka cheap & abundant electricity and so on.

And when we older gens says the obvious things about how moronic the snow flake gen y/z are, we are the bad guys, LMAO. I am out. "go back and stop a lot of things for example: WW II, slavery" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

There is no reason to think that. Governments and individuals still do development of technology without major wars. Also nuclear isnt cheap.

@traed Exactly. Technological innovations aren't always the product of wars. Humans innovate a lot of things beyond the realm of war.

Chill dude that was a bait reply I made a month ago because this was a stupid thread 😭

I am very aware of modern slavery, not to mention the other issues not getting news coverage like immigrant gangs in the US and the recent wars. I find it ironic how you complain about you old heads getting generalized as bad guys while simultaneously stereotyping gen Z. Maybe you should see if you're the one getting influenced by feelings.

Excuse me peonage is not the same has slavery, there also White peons in the US back, even children. I've seen photos of White peon children working at some factory in Alabama in the early 20th century. Your Point?

Please wars have always been a catalyst for pushing innovation forward/pushing ideas & inventions that other wise would have stayed at best mere curiosity(ies) at worst forgotten in some library/personal archive.

And WW II and the cold war are the zenith of such a thing, without both the world today would be a 1930's version of it, at best maybe an early 50's one.

For the normal everyday consumer Nuclear power is the cheapest around, it's the only source of unlimited energy we have right now that would allow us (mankind) to keep moving forward. The next gen AI and super computers will need lots and lots of energy, something that neither of the so called "green energies" can provide.
