I have NETFLIX and CRUNCHYROLL. I would have to use a piracy site if an anime is present on either of these services. The unification of FUNIMATION and CRUNCHYROLL, has meant I have pirated a lot less recently, however, the rise of HIDIVE taking shows has kinda counteracted this, |

IMortaI said: What do you think of people who uses pirated site to watch anime? Some of them I feel sorry for. Others I find pathetic. I am part of a minority in the West among Anime fandom that still mostly buys official physical copies of anime on DVD, Blu-ray, and Laser Disc since it's also a hobby of mine to collect them. But I will also still watch Anime on legit streaming services from time to time too. The real problem is there isn't really much anyone can do about piracy since in the west there is almost no consequences in doing it unless one is caught trying to make money off it. Until piracy laws are reformed and they actually enforce them in the west where there is an actual threat of real Jail time that any Users could face, nothing is really going to change in the west. When I see Users on MAL that practically publicly advertise their piracy habits and even sometimes brag about it, I can't help but feel a bit annoyed when sometimes seeing the same User later posting on the MAL forums complaining and bitching about this medium as if Anime is like a human right they are entitled to consume without ever paying for it. But mostly I can really care less about what people do. If Users are content in consuming third rate Anime from some illegal site where usually the subtitles are hardcoded and there is constantly a tacky watermark on their screen as a reminder of the site they are on that's their malfunction. I guess I am lucky enough in this world where I can afford the things I enjoy in life without having to steal them. |

Soon will find myself fighting off kittys for territory in adoption box. Will at least win that, man's hand made to bludgeon. i would rather watch my anime without any watermarks or potential buffers to interrupt by enjoyment. also it's best to watch already aired anime in BD version so that's where piracy comes in handy, no one can possibly buy BD of all animes they watch. |

IMortaI said: the rest of us be livin' the high life, sippin' tea with legit subtitles and buttery smooth streaming. Oh, the adventures ye must have, wrestlin' with low-quality videos and translations that make ye question reality itself. Considering that the pirate sites use lower-quality re-encodes of videos ripped from legal streaming sites for airing anime, the translations are almost always exactly the same. But I don't have anything against those using pirate sites to watch anime and participate in the community, especially those without access to legal options. Although I would advocate for better-quality, more "revenue-neutral" methods like torrents/XDCC/DDL. |

pirate sites are sh*t. if you're going to pirate, do it properly and torrent/magnet/download it. the only exception may be if you want to watch anime dubbed in a language that you can't find anywhere else. |
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/. The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish. Show your support to your favorite artist if you can! ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name. For those who want to learn Japanese through anime Resources for learning the language |

I don't mind. To tell the truth, I use Gogoanime to watch anime + other sites. I'm from Hungary, and there are no animes on TV. I don't have Netflix or other apps. There are hungarian subteams, who do subtitles for animes in hungarian. Plusz I use Ad block, so no ads popping up on Gogoanime either. This is my choice. Oh, most of the animes on Gogoanime aren't low qualitates. They have at least 720p, if not 1080p qualitates. Oh, I hate torrent, it takes a lifetime till I download one episode. But mostly I download from Gogoanime or hungarian sites. And about Youtube, there are a lots of official donghuas (chinese animation) with legal eng sub also. |

I think piracy is based and the same applies to anime and manga. “But Muh Industry” doesn’t work when the industry already is eating itself with how it treats its workers. Piracy should be viewed as an act of rebellion against these corporations who want to take your money to fuel their corrupion. |

I sail the seven seas because i don’t feel like buying crunchyroll, hidive, or amazon. These services only have anime (except amazon video) and i would much rather subscribe to something that has all types of things like netflix, disney+, etc. I also really don’t like amazon video because you have to pay for many movies. It feels like streaming is just getting more expensive so i really don’t care if others (including me) resort to alternative methods. Most anime fans already support the industry by buying manga or merch, if you’re worried about that. |

People who use pirated sites to watch anime are just smart motherfuckers who know how to get shit for free. Who wants to pay for that shit when you can watch it without spending a dime? Screw those greedy anime studios and streaming platforms trying to milk us for every penny.. I mean, come on, anime is already expensive enough with all the figurines, posters, and Blu-rays we want to buy. So if we can save some cash by streaming it illegally, why the fuck not? It's not like those anime studios are going bankrupt because a few people are watching their shows for free. They're swimming in money anyway.. |
