 Publishing company AlphaPolis announced a television anime adaptation of Howahowa Shiina's Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki (A Certain Middle-Aged Man's VRMMO Activity Log) light novel on Friday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured).Shiina began writing the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2013 before moving to AlphaPolis' website in August 2016. AlphaPolis acquired the novel and published the first volume in February 2014, featuring illustrations by Yamaada. The 26th volume was released in September 2022, with the 27th volume scheduled to be released on February 20. The series has over 1.5 million cumulative copies in circulation. Shuusai Rikudou began drawing a manga adaptation in AlphaPolis Web Manga in June 2014. The ninth volume went on sale in December 2021, and the tenth volume is set for a February 21 release. Synopsis A new type of VRMMO called "One More Free Life Online" is out. He logs in as a young boy avatar called "Earth". Taichi Tanaka (38, single) has a regular office job and enjoys playing video games in his free time. In a world where the player is free to do as they wish, he decides to master a skill that's been deemed to be useless! He makes potions that are too much of a hassle to make, cooks food that is excessively too good, and uses bizarre original weapons to hunt monsters...
