Favorite Persona mainline game?
| Mine is Persona 3 FES. I played P5 vanilla but I dropped it for a while, I got FES and P4 on PS2 for $20 CIB and decided to play them. It’s a beautiful game with a darker tone than the rest of the series and is now my favorite game of all time. |
| I haven't played the first two. Of the rest, P3 is my favorite. The main cast and especially the social link side characters are way better than they are in 4 or 5. Plus, P3 has that deliciously edgy thing where characters put a gun to their head and pull the trigger to unleash their persona. Best character is Aigis, although the sickly dude that only shows up on sunday was incredibly well done. "The answer" bonus content is absolute dogshit though. P4 was just a rehash of the previous game. Slightly better graphics but the dungeons were way too long and tedious. Best character? I dunno, the token best friend dudebro character, I guess. P5 of course has the best presentation. I just love that gloriously bombastic anime style. Fitting that Lelouch's VA does the voice for Joker. Only a couple of the social links were any good. Best characters BY FAR: twin Wardens. main cast was meh. The big plot twist that was teased for half the game was pretty underwhelming when it finally was revealed. |

| It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. |

| I'm a huge fan of the 'real' (Shin)MegaTen, main franchise... Persona however is kinda cheesy for me most of the times :/ Something between Innocent Sin's story and characters paired with 5's battle system. Unfortunately, the former is pretty outdated in terms of battle mechanics that I consider it almost unplayable nowadays, and I usually have a very high tolerance level regarding classics. |

| Persona 5 Royal. It's the one I have the least issues with. 2 feels super clunky to play (especially battles), 4's story is rough the second time around, and 3's gameplay loop is a slog. |

| Persona 4 is the only Persona which doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't end becoming and edgy fanfic after the first duology (both Persona 2 and Persona 1, I mean). I did like the characters, they felt like real teenagers, and Inaba remind me a lot of my hometown. |

| deadass fully serious persona 1 psp i'm one of the exotic few persona 1 fans in this world there's only like 8 of us in the wild it has the most ass gameplay out of all of the personas and SMT but god i love every other aspect about it character, plot, and OST wise |

| My favorites would go to P5 royal, but it used to be P4 Golden over og P5. I liked P2 EP way more than IS but the gameplay lacks too much to place it higher. P3 fes is slightly better than p3p imo. |

| Persona 3 has the best story, Persona 4 has the best characters and setting while Persona 5 has the best gameplay. With that said, 4's definitely my favourite. It's like a comfy warm blanket. |

| Just wanted to make a Persona thread and then I saw this. Persona 5 Royale was my first Persona game and just started on 4. 4 already seems extremely good. Can't say much more as I haven't played anything else |

| i probably got a bias for persona 4 cause i played it first and it's more personal, but yeah it's that. kinda wasn't really into it since i knew what was gonna happen, but even then the music, messages, themes, it was great. yellow is my favorite color now |

| Too early for me to decide, since I only played 5 and recently started on 4. Absolutely love these two games, though. Where FF used to be my number 1, I haven't enjoyed a game that much since FFXII. Persona is the first series that makes me feel that much excitement for RPGs again. So far, I can't even say which one I like more (4 or 5). I love 5's palaces more, but I also enjoy the more rural setting of 4's main world. |
