| Recently, Hoyoverse got a backlash because they're accused to "Whitewashing" a sumeru character on Genshin Impact. Do you think Hoyoverse is racist company because of lack of dark skinned character on Genshin Impact? |

| Not at all, Hoyoverse is just a game company who tries to rake in profits just like any other companies by making games as good as they are able to. Imagine playing a game just because of skin color of fictional characters. I can't name something more stupid than that.  |

| I'm just gonna say, Genshin is very obviously (as seen in-game and as mentionned by the devs) based on anime, and most anime don't have much difference in skin tone. Whether a character from Sumeru is 'too white' is a bad example though, given that the whole focus of their region is studying, which is usually done indoors. Makes sense that the skin pigmentation doesn't show as much. All in all though, Idc. |

It means a degeneration of the subject, aka something turning into something that is worse/worth less. If you say white people turning black is devolving, it means you are saying black people are worth less, because something valuable (white people) became less valuable (by turning black). For all we know maybe do this so, some twitter person will spread the rumour that the film is treated differently in China, so it needs audiences else where to go and watch the movie to give them support. | I do not consider it racist to have, or lack a specific race in a game. Obviously, Genshin is not realistic at all in character designs which makes the accusation even more dumb. I do not believe in supporting gacha games in general, but that is a different issue entirely. Mostly all fictional characters look white to me btw. Never understood why white looking asians are not called white so there is my based opinion. Lol |
