Not as good as manga imho, but still pretty good. So yes - you should definitely check out the world of manhwa (and manhua). Especially if you like big colorful fight scenes.

They havnt reached the same heights as manga yet (imo the best I've read were all about 8/10). Don't see that changing soon with most new series releasing being either an OP-MC with Leveling-System or Shoujo-Isekai.
If youre looking for some completed manhwa as starting recs I'd suggest one of Carnby Kim's Thrillers (Bastard/Sweet Home) or Solo Leveling (which started that OP-MC with System trend and is still one of the better ones).

My manga experience is barely existent, but this is good.

And in general, colors add a lot to it.

Yeah, they're as good.

The Breaker and its sequel The Breaker: New Waves are one of the best ones out there. It's one of the few I've read that don't mostly use colors, so doesn't feel much different from manga.

You don't have to be a gamer to play video games, nor do you have to be a sports enthusiast to play soccer with your friends. Read whatever books interest you, regardless of their labels.

However, there's a lot of dogshit fantasy manwha out there literally made just to be addictive and keep you reading. And, for that matter, the scrolling method can be especially scary. Of course, if that's what you're into, that's fine as well.

Manhwa update more frequently than manga so I say yes. Depending on your genre preference there's a lot out there, though MAL's manhwa database is severely lacking so a lot of really great series aren't on here.

I think there is an influx of manhwa being added to the DB in MAL. If You check https://myanimelist.net/manga.php?o=9&c%5B0%5D=a&c%5B1%5D=d&cv=2

Database is still SEVERELY lacking. They have less than a 10th of the manhwa I've read or am reading and the fact that most of my favorites are missing is sad. Do yeah. The database still lacks. A lot.

YES, YES, YES YES YES. There are a lot of good ones out there, depends on what you like. Heck, korean webtoon does reincarnation trope way better than Japanese.

Still waiting on S3 after 20 years.. There were rumors of S3 for like half a decade and it never came. :( one of my favorite action manhwa.

Get prepared for some typical manhwa clichés:
- Kdrama type romance (can be incredibly cringe compared to animanga)
- Lowkey MC w/ long black hair is overly OP but fails to show any personality
- Weak protagonist levels up and flexes on everyone who looked down on him
- Rich characters being douchey
- Exactly the same art style & character-design targeted towards shoujo

Pretty much all manhwa stories are one-dimensional with flat predictable plots - and sometimes can be okay. They're all easy to read & understand which makes manhwa enjoyable despite lacking depth.
Solo-Leveling or Catharsis are perfect manhwas to begin with.
