| It's always awkward when I have to tell someone that I've dropped an anime that they were raving about. I've dropped FMAB, Hunter x Hunter, and Demon Slayer. So, this happens relatively often. Whihc beloved anime have you guys dropped and have to awkwardly explain that you've dropped it? |

| jojo lmao. i didn't hate it, but it just didn't really click with me. also hellsing ultimate, though i'm considering watching the abridged series instead. like with jojo i didn't hate hellsing ultimate, it's just that the episodes were super long and my adhd does not like watching fight scenes for that period of time |

It's hard for older viewers to get into Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, H x H, etc...Battle shounen in general. If you are over around 25, I'd argue that it becomes very hard to start any of these anime. No idea how old you are, but I am guessing close to 25. Lmao nah I'm not even over 20 but I find it hard to watch long anime which do go into that battle shounen genre. I'm still not even close to catching up with One Piece after almost a year and I usually never skip Fillers but Bleach was an exception because I heard TYBW was really good. Other than that i'll only ever watch hxh if a sequel is announced and I do plan to watch Gintama because it looks really fun and it dominates mal top scores. Tragic. yep I'm actually currently watching Steins;Gate and I will say it might only appear to a certain audience but I recommend at least watching up to episode 14-15 because thats where it really kicks off, the first 11-12 episodes are really slow but if you get passed that I think its at least worth the watch |

| Takagi-san is pretty much the only anime I've dropped, being as much a completionist as I am, but it's certainly beloved by its fans. Lately I've been toying with the idea of making another attempt at it, despite the risk of it being a repeat of the experience from my first attempt. |

| FMAB for me as well, tho i pretend it’s on hold i just can never bring myself back to it i watched the whole first season of naruto like years and years ago to try to get into the hype and it was a miss for me, dropped it after and never intend on returning also evangelion (maybe i'll finish one day) and Tokyo ghoul (do not get the love for this show at all) |
| I think I've tried to get into HxH and Gintama for more than 3 times now and in each of them, I couldn't get past 5 episodes. Both are incredibly, mindnumbingly boring. The former for being generic and childish, the latter for its shit juvenile humor. It seems to be a popular opinion among Gintama fans that it doesn't get good until after 100 episodes as well, so I highly doubt it is even good to begin with. On the other hand, I've also dropped Yu Yu Hakusho 25 episodes in after life getting in the way but I did really enjoyed it and its definitely something I'll get back to. |

| I dropped Kobayashi Dragon Maid. The titular dragon maid waifu character everyone loves came across as a little predatory sometimes and I just wasn't vibing with it. I think I'm just not really the demographic for Dragon Maid and that became clear very quickly.. |

| Gintama. Not stating it's bad I trust it's earned it's rating I just couldn't get into it and I tried quite a few times. |
| I stopped watching Gintama after 300ish episodes. It was ok as a slice of life with quirky characters, but the comedy was terrible and the serious arcs too; I had to drop it when the serious arcs became more prominent. |

| Sailor Moon Crystal was just too tedious and badly animated. I dropped the classic anime around S2 as well because Chibi Usa was annoying and I just didn't have patience for the monster-of-the-week stuff. Lucky Star just doesn't have any humor or charm to me. I know people were very into this back in the day, but I tried it twice and I barely got a few episodes in before I called it quits. Sonny Boy felt aimless and pseudo-deep. Like someone read about what an arthouse film is and then stitched together scenes and witty one-liners without ever having seen an actual arthouse film. Basically, I have too little time to consider "completionism"; if it doesn't draw me in after 3 episodes, I'm out. |
| Karakai Jouzu Takagi-san is an anime I really liked back when the first season was airing. I haven't started season 2 as of now and my friend kept talking about Takagi with me. I feel bad he's the only one excited but I just can't pick it back up. |

As a viewer I felt insulted that after 5 seasons we get a re-introduction of all heroes and their snappy abilities. I'm not a toddler nor do I have memory problems. The developers should have respected my valuable time as a viewer & not waste it with this kind of filler BS. Insta drop after first episode. I will not see season 5 nor 6 PLUS I scored all previous ones at a 1/10. /ventmode off |

I also dropped snk because it seemed pretty much like the offspring of tokyo ghoul and game of thrones, and even though I ended up liking it after picking it up again I still think I was right in that assessment at that time. |
