The art style/character design is a major downgrade from the light novel, very disappointed!!! :(

It seems like the producers don't really give a shit about the quality of the female targeted light novel adaptations and put 0 care into making the art style and character designs appealing, which they SHOULD at least for the guys/husbandos if they want to actually attract the female audience!!!

It seems like almost every female targeted light novel adapation suffers from this, as can be seen by the adaptations of Otome Game no Hametsu Flag and Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu....

On the other hand, with male targeted light novel adaptations this doesn't really seem to be the case, in fact, they are actually trying to make the girls/waifus as appealing as possible. >_<

Female fans have been always shafted by anime industry lol. I had hoped thaat the success of Bakarina would make them invest a little more on these shows, but alas.
At least we are getting adaptations now. That's an improvement over nothing happeneing at all. Even Seijou no Maryoku wa bannou desu got a Season 2 announcement- maybe things are looking up!

I wish they would have some more elaborate art like the manga. Sigh. I just want a Bertia adaptation

You see ... the female fans will buy this no matter, the same way we were getting trash treatment of all the fantasy/isekai LNs targeted at the male audience at the beginning of this LN craze. Now the company's realized that they need to put more effort into the male targeted adaptations, so now they looking for easier fast cash ... which is thanks to the success of Katarina now the case with the otome it would seems.

So while Subaru is firmly established as Everydude, is his EMT even more firmly established in tipecasting as everygirl?

I don't know which is more ironic, that Western girls complain about female anime adapting the fantasies of Japanese girls, or that for all the complaints about patriarchy, girls still fantasize about abusive and dominating men?

I understand the disappointment that the art style isn't as mature looking as the LN but honestly, it could have looked a lot worse lol, the art style for this really isn't that bad

everyone is complaining that the artstyle is bad because of a lack of care due to it being a shoujo or whatever, but given maho film's... catalogue... i wouldn't be surprised if this was them trying their hardest

This again? Key word here is fantasize. Your average mentally sound person, be they man or woman, can tell fantasy and reality well enough apart.

Many dudes fantasize about big tiddy sadistic dominatrx anime waifus. Highly doubt most of them will agree to be whipped bloody or have their dicks stepped on by stilettos IRL

I get that the art is different than the novel but... I think this is fine..?? At least from the PV, it's pretty descent. Not so low-quality like a certain female-oriented demographic anime adaptation i know... :'))
And the seiyuus are actually super good!!? Honestly tho, i was ready to see a name i might not familiar with, but takarie ume and massuu is definitely some big names :0

I find the idea of sexual slavery disgusting, and as such, I am disgusted even by the thought of fantasizing about forcing a sex slave to have sex. Is there something wrong with me?

First, i'm not from the west.

Second, i am NOT complaining about this getting an adaptation, you didn't even read what i wrote, i'm actually very happy that more female targeted light novels are getting adapted, that's not my problem at all, on the contrary!!!

What i AM complaining about is the fact they butchered the artwork/character designs of the adaptation, that's not the same thing, come on!!! :(
