Do you even feel the need to sleep at all anymore?

I officially lost the need for sleep, ever since i've become addicted to gfx stuff,drawings,shitposting and watching stuff late at night. As well working on web novels.

Its gotten to the point it already is morning, yet i don't have the energy at all to do anything or everything and i end up sleeping quite a long time without really knowing what time of day it could be often as of late.

So do you guys really need to feel the need to sleep anymore. Its a huge problem for me now tbh.

Well, currently im awake since 36 hours or something since i kinda forgot to sleep last night and didnt really feel the need to after coming back from work. In general i feel tired most of the times but not a tired which would let me fall asleep but instead just brings my mood down, i more or less sleep after a certain time hits just so my body keeps functioning

honestly, i believe that my heavily messed up sleep schedule could probably make me stop breathing forever before i turn 40 or 50. 15 years ago i began working in a bakery so my shifts were from 2/3 AM to 9/10 AM (and still way lighter than most of the people employed in this job) and i went to bed at 7.30 or 8 PM because sleeping was impossible in any other time of the day (phone and doorbell ringing, usual daytime noises etc etc). I liked the job, but it turned out that in 2010 i was already collapsing for need of sleep even in weekends immediately after dinner, and i was 24. My second job was at McDonald's and even if i have also fond memories of it, shifts could be very different from day to day. Now i work in a restaurant and the hours in service are the most normal, but i still should learn to go to bed earlier and staying into it until later. The fact is... i wasted too much years of past lifetime with fake friends that i feel the need to recover them somehow, but the body is already tired on his own from before. I'm 35 with a very young-looking body on the exterior, but the actual inside energies are lower and lower that i feel like i'm actually 60 or 70.

I need sleep. Lots of it. At this point I get tired from being awake for two hours doing basic things like showering or cooking. Always ready for a nap. Caffeine doesn't make the tiredness go away, it keeps me tired, but faster.

Sleep is important for me. I do work out so i need to maintain my sleep time.

Yes, in fact the need for sleep comes to me every night around 9:30-10.

I normally feel the need to sleep early and get to sleep before 11 but recently I just stay up and don't get tired at all

I used to have trouble falling asleep, it’d take me 1-2 hours
Nowadays I fall asleep in 5 min

When you get older you'll appreciate sleeping more, I used to be the same when I was younger.
Now nearing my 30's and I enjoy just being able to rest my body in a comfy bed.

I mean I go to college and spend the day using brain power, so I need sleep. Insomnia kicks in when I'm not very productive or when I'm anxious about/overthinking something.
I sometimes forget to finish my sentences.

OP, you should really get some sleep, lack of sleep can increase risk of diabetes, heart related problems, persistent headaches, hallucinations, cause a steep drop in your body's salt levels, etc. Don't think I really need to go on, just because you feel like you don't need to sleep, doesn't mean you don't need it.

I don't really get "tired", i feel like i could stay up all night and function fine the next day. I just stick to a strict schedule and force myself to sleep at the same time every night, even if i'm wide awake.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

I mean, it's not like I never get tired, but I can often stay up till 3am or later and be fine... until the morning.

Well i've had a full nights sleep and lol. I'm thinking about switching the pace as well for my threads since i rather start focusing on the quality of them then just, shitposting them left riight and center on the fora. It also gives me more time as well with my web novels especially since i'm trying to focus on the sol KEY tone and the CING mystery tone of the newest one and it also gives me more time with the puzzle solving elements as well too since i don't want it to be purely expostion and just collecting stuff there needs to be a change up.

The issue you're having is the disconnect with sunlight. Indoor lighting isn't strong enough and doesn't trigger the same stuff. Which is specifically dopamine release. I was reading about a study, where rats had some issues if exposed to low light, but ones with high light levels didn't. But then they gave the high-light level rats dopamine blockers, and they ended up with the same problems as the low-light level ones.

You can fix it without the sunlight, but you need strict discipline. Go to bed at the same time every night, don't lie on the bed unless it's sleeping time. Exercising in the morning could help. Get a routine going. Basically when you do stuff all night it can feel like you got more done but overall you end up sleeping for 12 hours then having days and days of bad sleep patterns. You end up losing time.

I like sleeping. Going to bed is my favorite part of the day. Last night I couldn't sleep at all and it pissed me off. Let me enjoy pseudo-death!!!
