YOOOO ITS HERE ITS HEREEE !!!

they left out the part where yaguchi said "im actually being tutored by this guy!(rank 1 in the class)" to cover up the fact that he Actually works and tries hard so im kinda ? on why they left it out

but overall pretty nice first episode, ig i was just expecting some more WOW animation for this adaptation since the mangs was just.. Great. but again its not like this is bad, at all. hope it doesn't effect the storytelling tho, manga fr made me think hard about my life lol

Yes, some dialogues and parts from the manga were cleared. But overall very good start! Let's wait for the next episodes!!

For something so hyped, what's with the sub par and clunky animation?

Why not read the Manga to see what's the hype is about?

A little lack of OST. Animation is ok for me. Pacing was a little off tho. Overall premise seems interesting.

I watched this anime thinking it was blue lock, I got confused with the anime name and the repeated mention of blue and some football scenes made me think this was the football anime, well I already watched episode 1 so I will probably watch this season

Was the ending song the OP? If so it's a certified banger.

Anyways, a really promising start for the series. I enjoyed the animation, didn't find any problems with it. The story looks great, and the sound design was a strong point as well. Looking forward to following Yatori Yaguchi on his arts journey.

Im honestly pretty disappointed by the animation, pacing and also how much content they cut out. I guess it probably means we will get 13 episodes and end on chapter 25.

Also subs are pretty bad you guys should probably wait a day or 2 for better subs. They should've got gunjou for the op or ed man

I hope not, I think they make 25 episodes in the first season.

Yes, and some other lines were not adapted too from the first chapters of the manga.

THE MANGA IS IN MY TOP 5. The pacing seems to be a little fast, although not much of a reason to criticize. But they cut a few things from the manga. As a Drama and Slice of Life the show must be a little slowly paced or nicely follow the manga which is perfectin pacing. Thr animation looks fine, not bad but not too good either. OST seems to be amazing. The OP was good. Ruuji and Mori-senpai's VAs don't fit their voice that nicely like I thought while reading the manga. Although I enjoyed it. Hopes it don't be like ep 1 anymore and improves from the next episode.

What a great first episode, thematically speaking it possessed way more depth than I expected. Filled with on-going yet real struggles of real life:

The act of maintaining a personality on the exterior while hiding the 'truer' sense of self within. Pursuing and being chained to the convenient vs. containing the real passion inside. And lastly the good ol' duel between talent vs. effort and the desire of being perceived as through one or the other.

What a banger, I'm already looking forward to the next episode!

The First episode was amazing to be honest before watching this i was assuming that it would be a lil boring since its story is based on art cuz during my primary school days i was very much interested towards drawing but the scenario totally changed when i get into high school.so from my personal experience i thought that it would be a lil boring anime but it was totall the opposite to what i had expected the first ep was totally amazing !!!

For me, this episode lacked a lot of lines and the pacing was way too fast on some scene, maybe i read the manga slowly idk ^^

and the scene where the main character said ' i can do it too? ' (talking about picasso)
i felt nothing in this adaptation, it was a huge kick start in the manga..

Struggling to find the courage in order to follow your passion gotta be something relatable to most people. I remember that I also had a phase where I was mostly passive and emotionally detached, not wanting to openly admit what I really like in front of others I wasn't close with, unless there was a general consensus. I was more about socializing with many people for clout. A crowd pleaser that lost himself in the process. Starting to pursue what I truly love was absolutely liberating.

So yeah, I rock with Yatora and art club sensei.

Promising start.

I doubt that Seven Arcs hasn't had a 2 cour anime since 2006 & 2007. From a production standpoint, this show would get quite messy if it did end up being 2 cour, it already looks less than stellar and would get even worse over time as the production schedule get tighter.

Hope for 24 episodes.

This is a story about art. And, looking at the cover, I had been kind of worried since it showed a glaring absence artistic touch. But, I still had hope cuz how would artists mess up a story about art? Well, I got my answer!

The animation is bad. Even for a regular story, it's bad. It just goes from neutral pose to final pose, and back to neutral pose. No preparation poses, no exaggerations, no physics, nothing! It's empty! A complete absence of impact! And, not enough in-between frames.

The composition and colour palette show no understanding of artistic principles. They don't create the slightest sense of wonder and inspiration. They don't tell any story by just existing. The manga does so much more without even using colours! SAO has a more inspiring art, and I don't even like its art!

It feels like the director neither understood the story nor cared for it. They cut important details of Yatora's character. They didn't emphasize the important scenes. The dialogues didn't hold any weight. The sense of joy is completely removed. When an artist enjoys what they're doing, the result—even if it lacks skills—can still be entertaining.

WTF is wrong with Saeki-sensei's voice and anatomy! Nothing fits! She's supposed to be someone who teaches Yatora to live freely and be himself. Yet, she sounds like a woman reading a script with no enthusiasm. Also, the irony of an art teacher being drawn anatomically incorrect isn't lost on me.

Mori-senpai and Yuka-chan are also all wrong! Mori-senpai sounds like an old woman. And, Yuka-chan sounds like a shota. I wish Yuka-chan was voiced by a guy (or a trans woman). She may be biologically male, but she's still a girl. She doesn't need a high voice to be seen as a woman. If "Tenchi Souzou Design-bu" could do it with Kanamori, this anime could have done the same with Yuka-chan.

The OP isn't good for this story. I wish they'd used YOASOBI's song Gunjo for ED, since that song is a much more accurate representation of the manga. But, according to what's written on MAL, they're going to be using a different song. I'm still hoping the song appears in the anime in some way.

What was with that absence of music in important scenes? Anime has the ability to use music, so they should use it to add weight to scenes when needed!

I'm sorry I have so many problems with this. I have studied both art and animation, and they are two of the most important things in my life. I have a hard time communicating with people, but art always helped me out. When I had found the manga, I can't express how happy I was to know I wasn't alone. Seeing an anime completely disrespecting art, and removing the beautiful soul of the manga, makes me very sad and disappointed. The story probably will never get a second chance to have a better adaptation.

I liked the setting of the first episode, the art in the anime as well as the art style of the anime were very appealing. The weird thing for me is that he switches his opinion about art from one second to the other. Yeah, I get he is really excited that he could express his feelings with one painting, but that shouldn't give his opinion a 180 turn. (I have not read the manga, so I don't know if it got rushed in the anime). But overall, the main character itself had some interesting and relatable character traits, as well as an interesting friend group. I am looking forward to how the anime evolves.

Damn, I was hoping the art and animation would be better for this. Mostly because it comes from a highly respected and popular manga but also because it is an art anime. What we got was acceptable, however, it is placing the entire burden on the writing, voice acting, direction, etc., to carry this anime to greatness. I hope it can do it, although I am not expecting it to since this first episode was just fine.

I can't believe that guy legitimately drew boobs, amazing. I feel like I can get on board with this series from that alone. Other than that -- seems like it hits a lot of interesting points with sort of a delinquent-esque protagonist, dry humor, and emotional depth. So, I'm enjoyed the first episode and I'm looking forward to more.

First ep was fine, I guess... Although presentation was shockingly uninspiring for an anime about art & expressing oneself through it... Hoping we see an improvement in that department as the episodes come out.

I'll probably try out the manga as well, as I've heard it's pretty amazing.

Wow! What an amazing first episode! The art style. The plot. The soundtrack. I also like how cool their art teacher is, especially her behavior towards her students. Everything about this anime is really fascinating. Quite similar to Arte but with a modern touch.

This is going to be a masterpiece. Will definitely watch Yaguchi's journey until the end.

Well heard a lot of hype regarding the manga of blue period and it's pretty high rated
My honest thoughts on the first episode are well first off whatever the show was trying to portray it did it amazingly, pretty powerful NGL.
Only problem is that the production value is kinda low than I expected, not too keen on the character designs of some characters and it doesn't feel fluid enough.
That doesn't take away anything from the show thought as art and animation are the last priority for rating an anime. Story and character comes first and the MC is pretty nice and that scene when his homies realized what his painting was all about that was a GREAT scene. Really don't understand why this envoked such a strong reaction 😁
