| You can't have an installment as terrible as Season 4 and not expect a lot of hate on the sequel. I'll probably wait until this season has finished airing, guage the overall opinion and then decide whether I'll watch it. |

| I loved this show for like the first 2 and half season, but the pacing feels really inconsistent. I thought it'll get more serious when the season 4 started with actual deaths, but then we got a f**king school festival followed by yet another training arc and they botched the Mirio fight, cause now milking the filler movies is the priority for good animation. On top of that the show tries to develop like 40 characters at once and constantly wastes the screentime to remind you of their powers and previous events like if its audience suffered from serious amnesia. It doesn't take any risks and it really starts to drag at this point. |

You fail to mention sequel inflation. S4 and S1 seem to have the same rating if you simply look at the numbers. But sequel inflation makes it so much worse. The fact that S4 is the lowest rated one (before this season obviously) is horrendously bad. Imagine how many people who disliked MHA that dropped it between S1 and S3, and those who liked it sticked around. The density of genuine MHA fans is much higher by the time S4 comes around. And yet despite this it was the lowest rated season. This puts the rating of 8.03 in a much different perspective. |

Season 1 wasn't the best but it's miles ahead of season 4 , Season 4 was a disservice for the series , * the direction was mediocre at best * a lot of continuity errors (even a major fight(overhaul X Deku) that was suppose to be the highlight of the season had those) , *lack of animation in fight (just look at any lemillion fight, most of them are just still frames and i'm not even talking about that slideshow) * cut corners pretty much everywhere the only reason s4 ratings went up was because of the last episode that manage to recapture some of the hype hell you can see shit going downhill after halfway through the S3 when some higher up had the brillant idea the make movies alongside the series i'm speaking for myself now, i was a "hardcore" fan of the anime ,S3 was a little of a let down but i had hopes when they said S4 would have more production time and we all know how that went down, now i'm not even following it weekly like i did before just gonna wait unti the season is over and maybe watch later or just the highlights |
