Queen of yandere out of these characters?
| Before you guys start typing in a rant about yuno gasai not being in the poll, the answer to that is obvious. I know there are a lot more that should have been in the poll, quite frankly I am pretty sure there is well over 100 yandere characters in the known anime universe and I don't have time to be adding every single one of them to the poll. The poll has characters that I am the most familiar with. Although I would love for people to comment their opinion on here of which characters should have been in the poll. This thread will have a lot of spoilers |

| Obligatory vote for Shion, even though she's more of a yangire. Don't know why Mion is listed here. It was only briefly mentioned in the VN that she went Yandere in a very rare timeline i believe. |
| In the first ark Mion shows plenty of signs of being a yandere that I won't be spoiling. If you watched the anime, you would know. Plus Shion is definitely a yandere because the main reason she did what she did is because she loved Satoshi. Shion is the one that fits the bill for a yandere perfectly, a yangire is someone who has nothing to do with "love" such as Rena, but Shion is definitely a yandere. |

| I used to love this character archetype, but as times goes I felt something is lacking. Could an MC relationship with yandere character be well articulated in a meaningful way in terms of romantic development other than one sided obsession? Yandere felt more less rewarding in a story because their love is often taken for granted, unwavering, it's like a static point in plot that no matter what happened it won't change. I know it is supposedly overwhelming, but somehow when employed as a main part of a show it becomes cheap. This is why I despise Yuno Gasai, or rather, the way the author made her. It felt empty of love. |

Just beacuse a top 10 Yandere page says she is one, I woud not really say that's the damn case. In the first arc Mion and Rena looks like they are crazy but it's just a illusion. Mion might be hard on her sister in one of the arcs, forcing her to remove her nails. But to feel Shions pain, Mion later remove all her nails too. Mion plays a hard roll in the serie, she is the next village leader so she have 2 sides of her. But she never goes crazy if she does as it looks like in the first arc that's just how Keiichi sees it. It's just wrong beacuse he starting to get fucked. I own both the manga and a few DvD's of the serie as I'm a bit of a fan of they When they Cry serie. And Shion does have Mion cloth on her alot later into the serie so I thought it was Mion too, that was going crazy, but as you watch the show they explin what is going on who is who and why they are going crazy. And if i'm not enough to trust, you can search up Mion here on Myanimelist and they got a spoiler tag, that explins Mions roll in the show and if she went crazy or not. |
