many have got into an argument whether or not the earth is flat (when its obviously round).
but what about other worlds?
flat, round or other shapes?

name an isekai anime and say what the world looks like

No, they are spherical, unless their authors says otherwise.

Turtle. It's a testudine world out there.

On a more serious note: depends. Some author specify it. Theldesia for example is a small scale version of Earth.

Maybe if the isekai world is set in a video game, then the entire map probably fit on a flat area. But if the isekai world is just set in an alternative reality similar to our, then it's probably spherical because the world has probably not a limited area.

And so do I.
I mean, how can the OP not even know the obvious fact that the Earth is indeed flat? No, I'm joking.

not really because everything is always a re-imagining of the wheel, all it takes is a unique concept in said genre to stand out

Most isekai worlds have magic and shit so if the author wants it to be a god dammed pretzel there is nothing that says they can't do that.

The "i" in "isekai" means "foreign" or "outside", not "round" or "globular".

incidentally, a lot of videogames have maps that repeat in a tesselated fashion, so going off the top of the map puts you at the bottom, and same with left/right, which would technically mean that they're basically toruses. i.e. donuts, or inner tubes.

"Obviously".

Why is it obviously round? Who gives you this certitude when you don't know what is true and what is false from what NASA says? NASA has quite a few times thrown sand in its own eyes, contradicting their words.

While flat erathers also have some fishy theories, there are some that make sense...way too much sense.

Do tell me how can you explain the routes of the airplanes?

----

It's quite clear that someone is lying. Has been lying for a long time. And I like how NASA does not step forward with real, unedited proof to defend their cause.

We don't play the same games then. Because the only video games that I know which contain this feature are the original pac-man and Seiken Densetsu 2&3.

Particularly common in games on older systems, I think, such as the first three generations of FF games, Chrono Trigger, and others.

Yes, in older RPG games it's quite common. But I'm having a hard time finding a recent video game which contain this feature.

Well, Hunter x Hunter's planet is supossed to be flat, or at least they have never been able to make a full lap to the world. Aside from this exception, I supose every isekai is spherical.

I'd presume it's less common these days, but I haven't played that many recent JRPGs.

isekai anime are usually 2d i have not seen 3d isekai anime but heres a little known fact is that 3d anime is actually 2d because 3d images projected onto a 2d plane so there is still illusion of 3d but it is flat on tv screen because it is being projected onto a 2d surface so its flat

They should make an "isekai" LN series that centers around mocking the Flat-Earth philosophy.
