Monogatari Series: First Season
| I personally think I should watch it in airing order but I was wondering now that there are a lot of seasons out would it make more sense or be easier to understand if I watch it in chronological order? Btw I've already arranged the series in airing order in case you guys vote for airing order. It's correct Right? | The monogatari series is structured to be experienced in a non-linear fashion, so watching it chronologically will objectively be the wrong watch order. The correct way will always be the order of release. |

| Ever since I watched The Garden Of Sinners, I've sworn against watching anything in release order. Chronological is the way to go for me. I think it makes more sense and is easier to follow along watching in chronological order, but it does take away a "mystery" feeling that you get from watching it in release order. |

| @Nyah_Chan Watching Kizu after Bake is bad imo and after knowing everything and watching Kizu makes more sense to story imo. Also you should add Koyomimonogatari between Owari S1- S2. |

| I mean, imo I personally believe there is no right order since you can watch any arc from any season and for the most part fully understand what transpires as each arc is it's own self contained thing. So you can watch either from chronological or airing order. Most people always stick with airing order though. |

I watched Bake to see if I even liked it... Kizu because I wanted to see blood... Then the rest is like some weird mix of what I was told was the chronicle order mixed with wikihow results... Which pretty much is summed up as... "I need a fucking manual on how to watch 'brushing your teeth is pornographic" the anime |
| Are you sure that isn't mandatory? I mean, it was an April fools day joke, but considering Monogatari it could still be important to watch. @ OP Watch then in airing order. It's always the correct way to watch things. It's how the creators intended. |

| It'd be a pain to watch in chronological order anyway, since you'd be mixing entire seasons between episodes. The only thing more annoying to watch in chronological order is the ToAru series. Save yourself the trouble, and watch it in broadcast order. It is written to be watched in the broadcast order, so you understand the characters and their motivations best when you watch as intended. |

Huh. I already know the general order I'm watching Monogatari in and I still got something out of that. The notes about Kizu and the light novel order were useful and interesting, respectively. |

| Rule of thumb: the only time to not watch in airing order is if the airing order is for some reason the opposite of the source material's release order. Otherwise airing order every time |

| I'd personally go with the light novel order. Kizu is now completely available online. Airing order is probably fine to, but don't watch it chronologically unless you are rewatching it. |

| Brah....it really doesn't matter. Monogatari is the GOAT! The absolute gold standard of anime. Everything else falls short. Make sure to take notes during the toothbrush scene. |
