Eren gave Reiner a good punch at the beginning. Mikasa were hesitated to kill both of them because they showed a fear expression. I was unexpected Colossal titan to 'eat' Ymir and the random guy, hope she is not dead yet. He used the steam as his defence again. Intermission still has no any good information. Flashback about training, Eren learned martial art from Annie. Wrestling time! Armored Titan ran though the ducks was epic. Vapourised colossal titan falling down was like a grimripper. Best cliffhanger of the season.
My exam is coming soon so I am not going to watch the next episode. Sad life

Just a small question to manga readers that I always had, do the sizes of the human turned titans have a reason/explanation? Like why is Bert so damn big while Ymir is small and Eren, Reiner and Annie are all the same size?
I don't want the explanation per see, no spoilers please, just want to know if it has any reason and if it is mentioned in the manga.

That cliffhanger at the end....WWHHHYYY???!!! X___X

Anyway, the whole episode was absolutely full of intense action and brutally exciting fights. The CGI used for the Colossus Titan looked and was animated better than last week, which is good, since the whole animation with the scouts travelling just above the Titan's arm looked impressive.

Eren's fight against the Armoured Titan was savage and epic. Thanks to his sparring against Anne in the past, he used what he learned from her to good use against the Armoured Titan.

Now thanks to that cruel cliffhanger timing, I want next week's episode to come out now! T__T

The episode was nice and I loved the fight, but again I'm shocked at how stupid they actually were... The first thing I thought when I saw Reiner in bi-color, was that maybe one color was armor and not the other one. It took them half an episode to get to the same.. and only do it once...

Also I cared more about the end of the flashback than the current fight :/

But it's interesting to note that BJJ is coming in after MT.

A good chapter, I think it wasn't really necessary showing again how Annie teached Eren that techniques but well, I suppose it was for the sake of reaching that point to end without more punches than needed.

Once again the colossal looked like shit with that CGI, in the S1 was amazing... and a thing I didn't like was the clear view of the Colossal flesh being consumed while protecting himself, that could make Armin's strategy in a far season have less impact.

Yes there is a reason

But the reason is for normal titans, they never implied that the same process could be applied into shifters.

Yo this episode was fucking lit!

Eren vs Armored titan was awesome. The CGI was actually decent.

The flashback was pretty decent, Annie's choking out Eren for wanting to treat her more ladylike was pretty funny. Mikasa then throwing Reiner was freaking hilarious. I wonder who did win that fight????

Yo next week looks crazy though. They said MIkasa got hurt???!?!?!?! And I saw her crying. Im not to happy about that. Hanje was hurt too, thats upsetting.

Oh shit another funny moment was Eren Titan listening to Hanje and Hanje just blushing. Yo i was crying when that happened lol.

I WAS SO HYPED!!! I thought the dialog during the fight made it more intense unlike DBZ and Yugioh where it's annoying and too long.

I'M LOSING MY MIND AND NOW THE PAINFUL WEEKLY WAIT. I never thought waiting til Saturday was painful until now. Each episode has me waiting with anticipation.

Can someone tell my why the Colossal Titan transformed without legs? And why is he a skeleton at this point? Is Berth still in the titan form?
He is turning into a skeleton due to the mass amount of steam he's been using

Alright thanks. I still wanna know why he transformed without his legs though, kinda dumb dont you think? He could have jumped off and transformed with his legs and be kicking ass.

I thought putting random names from titans since people say the beast titan all the time would be harmless, but edited with a spoiler tag.

My point is that even with all that we know, the explanation for shifter's size is not complete beyond the point that the Colossal is "colossal" as an unique feature xD

Trust me, you DIDN'T want to know why he was turning into a skeleton, that was a bad move from the animators...

About the partial transformation:
Transforming takes energy, a partial doesn't take that much (think about Eren in S1 using only one arm to stop the cannon)
He didn't need his full form, he needed to fight in the top of the wall, his full form would only reach it with the head, a partial transformation allows him to fight there.
He knows that the walls are full of colossals, his orders include not breaking the wall, only the gates.

But the colossals in the walls are too fat and weak to really do anything, no?
That makes sense about the partial transformation though. Thanks for clearing it up.

Eren could possibly win against Reiner alone, but not against him and Bertolt... Regardless, the fight itself was spectacular, the power of the punches that the titans shared must have been immense.

Support this. Maybe that's because I read the manga, but I found this fight too slow, I love when they talk, but you can't put that in the middle of a fight.
Same here. Not that I didn't like the episode but I just felt something was a bit off. The whole thing too slow and the multiple bits of dialogue and flashbacks hurt the general flow of the Eren VS Reiner fight imo. So much that the confrontation with the Colossal turned out to be my favorite part of the episode. The lack of new hype BGM also didn't help, I guess.

I am severely disappointed that Mikasa and all the vet scouts couldn't figure out that on Reiner, red = no armor. I mean, Long before the reveal, I was kinda like... um, why are you going at the obvious gold plating?

Regardless, a great ep, and just happened to be where I caught up to this season after not having a chance to watch it for quite a while. However, I had assumed that the "Fire Titan Eren" was a perma thing once he figured it out. Now he's just back to being a big Titan again after co-defeating Annie. Minor let-down.

The best thing in this episode was the Hange blush when Eren in his titan form nodded and the voice actor made such a great job with the sound to it, it made me laugh so damn hard. It was such a cute thing to see in this series.

The more I look at Eren's titan the more I like it. Compared to other titans it really has this kind expression and features when not in rage or berserk mode. Totally a titan you want to be friends with, right Hange :>

You must have serious issues watching pro mixed martial arts. Go ahead, tell those dudes they are "humping", lol.

You really think an anime that does well in the U.S. is going to put us through an arc with almost entirely no action? Something tells me they will compress the crap out of it... I mean, look how far we are in Ep 7 this season. The new pacing is actually refreshing to me.

Hmm the flashback of Reiner and Bertholdt outlining why they become soldiers was a nice touch. Despite not being able to kill both with one hit Mikasa still reacted with commendable speed though. As expected of veterans of the survey corps they reacted with great skill as they began their attack. But Bertholdt is just a bit better with his abilities. Hmm the waiting game eh. Given the steam prevents them from attacking i guess this is the only way. Given his strength Reiener really was holding back in training eh. Gotta give Mikasa credit for trying to take on Reiner by herself though. Lol i like the flashbacks that are dispersed between the fights between Eren and Reiner though. Lol Annie asking Eren to be more considerate of her body. Annie was pretty deadly in hand to hand eh. Lol Mikasa was impressive in that she managed to throw Reiner into Eren lol. Hmm a fist fight between Mikasa and Annie is a match that i would like to see. Hmm Eren used the same ability that he learned from Annie to disable Reiner eh. Ironic actually. Having seen what the armored and Colossal Titans did Hannes would hate them both. Hange's reaction as Eren indicated that he understood the instructions though lol. The fight between Eren and Reiner though man both are going full force here. Still its nice seeing Eren use actual tactics and work with the crops to take down Reiner. That was one hell of a strike from Mikasa as she aimed at the limbs though. Hmm the way the episode ended sure was unexpected.

Easily, THE BEST ep so far, for no other reason than Erin FINALLY learned how to fight!! And it wasn't just the get-angry-powerup-to-max. The way they built the story off his memories of sparring with Annie (Mikasa and Annie went head-to-head??? What was that outcome, and Annie calling Mikasa a MONSTER??), was perfect. The art was incredible, and the dialog was on point.
