| Explain to them that in Japan it's considered socially acceptable for young girls to show romantic feelings towards each other even if they're actually straight. This rule actually isn't in use anymore, but it's because of this that yuri and yaoi are so common. If you're Christian then god is actually fairly neutral towards lesbians. He said at one point "even the girls were having sex with each other" as if that were a sign of bad things happening and he also said that lesbians were to die natural deaths but they won't go to heaven or hell, they'll simply fade off into the abyss. Contrast this to gay men where at the very moment you find out that they are gay you must invite the entire community over to throw rocks at them until they die and after they will burn in hell for eternity. I would say that god has nothing against lesbians, or at least very little compared to how much he hates gays. Show them some manga time kirara to show them how beautiful yuri can be.
