| Damn this episode was 6/5. Betelgeuse seems exactly like a fanatical for a witch's cult should be. Rem's sacrifice this weeks was beyond amazing and her dialogue was also very beautiful. Also I believe that was puck who did all the freezing since Emilia died, his true form seemed bad fucking ass, what a crazy two loops. And we still have 9 episodes of this arc. |

| I'm so glad I finally picked up this series - I just caught up last week and I've been eagerly waiting for the next ep since. And HOLY SHIT DO THEY KEEP BLOWING OUR MINDS. I just stared at the end credits till my eyeballs dried. It was such a crazy ride. |

| Madness and pain! Best episode of this series by far. They really did a great job with this. Music, voice acting, animation were all top notch. I must confess that I wasn't too fond of Rem at the beginning but boy was I wrong. Her struggle and sacrifice were absolutely magnificent. That Betelgeuse will be hard to top as psychopathic villain of the year. I'm shit scared if there are more like him out there. |

| HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT. are we allowed to swear? That episode was great, probably the best so far! I almost cried when Subaru died, saw Rem when returned and basically got a mental breakdown... Playtime is over, time to kill everyone! Wow I'm so hyped for the next episode, I can't wait already, that was intense At the end of the episode, when they were holdng hands, Subaru looked so ready to kill someone, watching his character development is interesting and heartbreaking at the same time Also if I'm not wrong, the "Subaru's death count" is on 9 now, I feel so sorry for this dude |

| When Sloth referred to Subaru he called him Pride. That wouldn't surprise me at all. I mean Subaru's character is the embodiment of Pride. I saved everyone, They couldn't do it without me, You owe ME a debt that you can never repay. Just some quotes off the top of my head. |

| It went from pure despair, to madness, back to despair and ended with hate/burning determination. The emotions were strong in this one OwO |

Seems like he was playing because he repeated that crazy dude's name. I think he was 'faking' it in the sense he had some level of control over it, but I don't think he was completely lucid, either. He had finally reached the tipping point seeing everyone murdered in that village, Rem's state, the villagers state, and then presumably Emilias, and needed time to reboot. So he disassociated himself from his surroundings and only focused on what was going on inside his head. Once he got called out on it by Betelgeuse, he started getting a bit agitated, and I think this is evidence that he understood that he was still technically lucid, but still couldn't yet come to terms with everything that's happening around him. Seeing Rem get butchered forced him to confront reality and witness what was going on around him once again. |

| This episode was great on so many levels. Subaru finally hit the very bottom and at the last scene he finally bounced back as well. I sure wonder about the fact that Subaru was called Pride while there was also Sloth... immediate guess is that there are 7 'something' that have the names from seven deadly sins like in FMA. The one thing that I did not like however was that gigantic monster at the end. WTF was that and how come it has an !instant kill! This world power level is quite high but the instant kills are cheating! But really this episode was so good that it was hard to watch at times as well. When was the last time that I brought my hands before my eyes because I didn't want to see what happens and at the same time looked through my fingers because I sure could not miss a single second! In any case we had multiple episodes of Subaru being on the border of insanity, and while I sure love insane characters, it's not this kind of insanity that I like. Now however we see that Subaru finally found resolve to do something although this time the whole deal looks even more hopeless than the cases before. For one Subaru is far away from the mansion. For two Subaru still doesn't have any super MC powers, so if he doesn't get random MC powerup, he will just continue to go there and die. I wonder if it's the training arc next... but in any case I sure look forward to the next episode. The current season has a lot of good animes but it seems like Re:Zero will keep my AOTS spot in this season as well. |
