| What's with the stopwatch? I'm definitely finding out things about Miki that I didn't know during my first watch. I love all of the things that happened in the study session. Especially Anthy's doodle! Shocking. I'm glad to see her be more realistic than I expected. |

| The only thing I didn't like is the repeating the same gag three time by recycling animation and same dialogue. I almost fell asleep. Other than that, it was a nice episode. I liked the ending :) |

| Yeah, repeating the same joke three times in a row is never a good move. Though, I did find it unexpected and amusing the first time. The last scene intrigued me. |

| The whole "operation make Anthy look like a weirdo" thing was funny the first time, but repeating it two times, was just...well it reminds me of when a friend tells a funny joke and then they tell it over and over again. It makes the joke unfunny quick. but anyway this series has been OK so far, I'm just waiting for the greatness of this series to come and from reading you guys posts I might be waiting a while? |

| Anthy is on the fast road to becoming one of my most hated characters. Girls like her with no spine... ugh she seems incredibly annoying. It's gonna be annoying if she's the main focus of most episodes to come. |
| Can't see why people hate Anthy. We don't know anything about her now, so she's just a mysterious girl. She'll have her finest hour some time. Yeah, the repeated joke thing did last a bit long, but I don't mind it as the result of the joke was funny all three times. That mongoose eating the snake was probably my favorite part of it. So far so good. I like what I'm seeing so far. |

| Strangely enough, I actually found the repeated jokes with Nanami more funny this time. That may be because of how I've grown to like her character. About Anthy, I feel like she is actually a pretty great character in her own right. I find her more interesting now, on my second viewing, than I did the first time now that I know what the show does with her going forward. For now, just pay attention to the Shadow Girls yet again. This isn't just important for the next episode, but for Anthy's character arc in general I feel. |

| Well, that was alright. I don't mind characters like Nanami. The vocal audio in this anime always starts at low each time a characters speaks after a silence. |

| I've heard some pretty good and convincing male sounding kids voices from female voice actors but in the case of Miki Kaoru i'd say he just sounds completely female hell he even looks like a female with short hair when compared to the other males we have seen thus far. Until this episode I thought he was a female actually. |

| I wonder if the snails' names (Juliet, Catherine, and Marcelina) have any significance. The name Juliet immediately caught my eye; it's a pretty obvious reference to the tragic Shakespearian character, so this might be telling us something about Anthy's character. There are a lot of Catherines, both fictional and historical, so it'd be tough to know which one the snail is named after. There's Catherine Morland (protagonist of Northanger Abbey), who's known to be naive and innocent — somewhat similar to Anthy's personality, or at least what we've seen of her so far. Also, Catherine Morland likes to act out characters from the novels she's read, which could be likened to the theatrical presentation of Revolutionary Girl Utena. There's also Catherine of Aragon, one of the many wives of Henry VIII. From what I know, she was forced to leave the court (because Henry had found another wife) and lived alone in a castle for the rest of her life. I'm not saying that this will actually happen to Anthy, but I guess Henry's treatment of Catherine could be compared to Saoinji's treatment of Anthy. This might be a bit of a stretch though. I don't know any Marcelinas and am too lazy to do the research, so I'm not sure about that one. I might be over-analyzing this anyway. |

| The humor in this episode worked well. It seems strange how what I assume is the main plot about the duels has been disrupted so early on for the ball and the study session but I'm thinking Miki is gonna challenge Utena soon since he feels so connected with Himemiya, and hopefully that'll add emotion to the duel, since the first one wasn't fun to watch or anything action-wise and the dude was a total scrub. Himemiya kinda sucks as a character that's supposedly alluring to multiple people. All the slapping's giving me Gundam flashbacks. Miki's the best. Blonde bitch was funny in this episode but probably nothing to do with her actual character. The stalker girl in penguindrum might have been kind of modeled after her. The humor at least works in a similar way. There's some intrigue going on with Anthy knowing Mickey's song. I hope the show stays at this level or gets better so I can at least kind of like it. |
