| Friggin EPIC episode!!! That was so intense!! The Sawamura beat down at the start with Ippo's body blows were epic even though it was all Sawamura's plan. Miki is just doing an absolutely stellar job with Sawamura. Dat VAing is too good. He just feels so evil. Which is PERFECT!! Loved the scenes he was talking about the meat tenderness. Ippo getting hit by the second counter and still standing was awesomely animated. AND DAT OST was just too good >.<!!! Then the third Dempsey roll!! GOOSE BUMPS!!! EPICNESS!! With Sawamura's reaction to him freezing like that. Sooo good! Going to see nxt ep now then :D |

| This episode was just awesome, but couldn't have Ippo used the Dempsey Evolution on his 2nd Dempsey Roll ? Would have taken a lot less beating. Damn that last punch! Shingeki no Kyojin tier goosebumps! The insert song was also awesome. Does anyone know the name of it ? |

Yeah that's a legitimate question, why didn't he use the new Dempsey roll before trying the regular one a second time? Sure he's only allowed to use it twice I think it was but still. |

| this episode was intense, that's why I love Ippo, in the end it always delivers. though again I think Ippo kinda sucks for getting so much beating, he'll have brain damage in no time if he was in real life. anyway I'm very excited to move into the next one just came out :P I also think Ippo should've used the movement earlier, even if he pushes it to 3 times, I thnk he'll push it anyway. |

| Damn. That was awesome. I think i pee myself a little from excitement. And that last scene with Ippo freezing and tightening his muscles for that punch was really as an epic episode end as you can get. lagpipi said: I love this anime. and I love ippo. He knew the challenger is going to counter his Dempsey roll, he knew all that and has been training to overcome that in the episodes before. and yet he just fking did it anyway just to see if he can? what kind of fking illogical idiot does that shit? and then in shock that his old Dempsey roll is countered!? wtf? if that's the case why bother showing us the episodes of sparring with white fang showing what sawamura is going to do? I just don't fking get the logic behind this show. Yet I will still love to watch it b/c I want to see sawamura's butt kicked Ippo is a masochist. There problem solved. Really though the first time i guess it was like he wasn't sure if Sawamura was really capable of counter it or not and maybe he thought if there wasn't a need to put extra pressure to his legs to do the stopping move then it will be better to just fight as usual but in the second attempt he did try to stop himself and do what he did with the third Dempsey. That's why he was still standing after the hit. Because he actually stopped himself a little so the hit mostly had the power coming from his opponent movement and not the added power of him moving directly into the punch. In other words the second counter wasn't very much a counter but mostly a right punch. If it was a full counter he wouldn't have been standing. |

| OMG! Almost the entire episode is hard to watch, I find myself swinging back and forth from loathing Sawamura, that elbow should have disqualified him already after all the foul behavior he's been exhibiting since the start of the match, to cringing in worry and anxiety for Ippo whose hanging on to his fighting spirit alone so that Sawamura will not make a mockery of the sport he loves. It's like being in the dark tunnel and Ippo's last punch at the end of the episode is like a light at the end of that tunnel. I fervently hope and pray that b@$+ard Sawamura felt that! |
