| Well if it follows the trend, its gonna be quite a while. However if I were a betting man I'd definitely say that season 4 will come around eventually. And probably even 5, and 6, and so on until the story is finished. Its a very popular series after all and there's definitely money to be made. What I really hope to see is another long season like S1, that would do well to advance the story to the point where we could actually see it being complete someday. |

I'm sorry to hear that, the last two seasons lost a lot of pace anyway, Ippo's story especially. I'm also surprised just how much he relies on the Dempsey Roll, to the point he has to make it dangerous to himself to use it against guys that have it figured out. Not to mention nobody seems to care anymore about brain damage. |

| I doubt the anime will ever get a sequel. After what happened in the anime, the manga had several hundreds of chapters in which barely anything flashy happens. If they were to release a season 4, it would have at least 100 episodes almost purely slice of life and drama. Maybe a 2 minute fight every 10 episodes or so. |
| Well the thing is, after the Sawamura fight, the next arc is a lot more calm. It's a lot about resting, healing, improving, and there aren't any fights for a long time (if I remember correctly, it's getting old in my mind). What I mean is, although its a great arc imo for the evolution of the character and all, the anime adaptation is a lot about the fights... And you can't just drop the arc or A LOT of intel about the evolution of everyone is gonna be missing. That's why we are not likely to get a 4th season. Ppl watching the anime want more fights, which is perfectly understandable ^^. But the following arc doesnt give those. The only fights you get for a long period are the other characters, and as someone said somewhere, Itagaki fights are really boring ^^' I think that's why we still haven't had another season. They probably don't know what to do with the following arcs. |

No announcements were made on this season 4 topic for over long time...Looks like this is the end for Hajime No Ippo ;_; Also there is no announcement on completion of manga...So manga continues.. For now we can just read manga and pray for season 4 |
