| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Because Halloween is coming, and because I started Ghost Hound last night, I also decided to start Ghost Hunt. The first episode introduced many characters, which I didn't expect. I love how Mai gets thrown straight into the hunting. And the fact there's an Australian character kills me. I'm in despair. But other than that, a great first episode. I'll be watching this once a week, so I'll most likely finish this at the same time as Ghost Hound. |

| I kind of agree, ever if they are all the major characters, the way they tossed them all together at once was a bit overwhelming. The kind of plot device they used to draw Mai into the story is kind of like Ouran a bit. But she seems to be having fun despite Naru’s attitude. |

| "I be tickled pink" indeed xD Art is very nice, the story seems interesting, I hear Sawashiro, Mai is pretty likeable (and it's rare for me to like the heroine xP), ED is really good; that's what I liked about it, in short. |

| I really liked the first episode, but the animation is really poor. J.C. Staff usually provides fairly good animation, so the budget must have been really small for this series. Not that it matters, as long as it doesn't interfere with the dark mood. |

| I loved this episode. The characters and art are awesome, so are the OP and ED. Has some humour thrown in with the cool atmosphere. I'm hooked. Too many characters introduced? Watch the first episode of Legend of the Galactic Heroes; this is a breeze for me. |
| Several characters getting introduced right from the get go didn't really bother me at all. I actually thought it was a good thing because now they don't have to waste other episodes introducing them. Overall, pretty good start, looking forward to the next episode! xD |

| Naru: i was under the impression that only innocent virgins will become shrine maidens, Ayako: & ur point. Naru: at ferry least u look little old to be calling urself a maiden. Best lines Ever LOL i: its official, i hate this guy. ME its official u love this guy LOL when a woman say's she hates a guy in that way, it means the opposite, there was really no hate reflecting from her when she say'd it, & her tone was not hateful neither |
| Quite ridiculous how they just threw a shit ton of characters together. First episode was interesting but not really my taste, hopefully next episode will do better 3/5. |
| Decent first episode. I'm watching it dubbed and my god did Mai's voice get extremely aggrivating real quick. Love Kazuya though, he's so chill yet so handsome. When I heard that Australian kid's voice, I was laughing for a solid 30 seconds because I've never heard an Australian voice in a dub before. 3spooky5me 7/10 |

| i never though i would hate a character voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro so much. also, the way they would divide the screen into boxes with a character or an important part of the background in each during the dialogue and transition scenes were kinda stupid. I'm gonna give this anime around 2-3 more episodes to wow me. 1 if the next one bores me to a certain extent Mai is cute AF btw |

| typical shoujo heroine messing things up typical dark-haired & mysterious ikemen that all the girls fawn over typical situation that forces the heroine to be around the ikemen more often well... its a shoujo after all. LOL @ how characters magically appear when its convenient especially megane girl every time I s2g she pops up out of nowhere |

| Well, that was interesting, though a bit confusing. Especially since ghost stuff don't interest me - since it's all bullshit - so all the stuff they were saying was total gibberish to me. Didn't expected Rie Kugimiya to be part of the cast. All the character introduced are such a bunch of weirdos. Except for Mai. She's hilariously normal compared to all the others. |

| It was a rather slow start since the characters had to be introduced first but it'll definitely pick up later on, I hope. I kind of wished that they'd show more paranormal activity in episode 1 instead of annoying attention-seekers like glasses girl, though. |
